Great beach.
Lovely for walks.
Beware of swimming and Surfing.
There are strong currents and hidden sandbanks.
Out son broke he’s neck Surfing here during the winter this year. Dived off he’s surf board and hit a shallow sandbank with he’s head.
Other than that small detail we love this beach.

Narrabeen Lagoon State Park

Reviewed By stinkwink - Sydney, Australia

A place where I always happy to go. Since I lived nearby I visit the Narrabeen lakes quite often. To take some bread with me it's a necessity, because otherwise how I would be able to feed the ducks? If I walk quietly always can see some big lizard, or other residents of the lakeside, quickly disappearing in the bush. The walking track is very popular in between the bicycle riders as well, so watch for them since you have to share the path with them. This place lifts of the everyday worries from your shoulders, and feel refreshed after a recreational walk.

Warriewood Beach

Reviewed By Anita T - Forster, Australia

The road down to Warriewood Beach is not for the feint hearted, steep and narrow and there isn't much parking when you get down there.
That was the negative but on to the positives. Such a pretty beach, great surf, great facilities, patrolled and just has that little bit of remoteness to it which is attractive.

Bilgola Beach

Reviewed By NickfromOz - Sydney Australia

Bilgola Beach is located on the Palm Beach Peninsular about 30miles from Sydney CBD. Well worth a visit for its special white sanded beach and views. its a fairly secluded beach during winter but crowded during the summer and car parking is at a premium. The water can be quite dangerous for some swimmers due to rip currents .

Whale Beach

Beach located on Sydney's northern peninsula.

Reviewed By Craig M - Sydney, Australia

Intended on visiting Palm Beach area one day but when we arrived we were deterred by the amount of people about. Decided to drive 10 minutes or so south, down the windy cliff face, to Whale Beach.
Vey picturesque Beach with clean sand and water. Good rockpool at the Beaches end, plenty of natural shading and picnic/laying down spaces for relaxation.
Parking fees apply, about $4 per hr. And yes, rangers patrol the area! Limited food outlets in the immediate area which I found to be pricey with small servings. On busier days, prepare to be patient for your order! I would personally take your own food/drink!
Would recommend and return albeit a fair drive from many parts of suburban Sydney.
