This beach is mainly accessible on foot as it is part of the main trail across SOuthern creek. One part is nudist, the other is not, but there is enough space for everybody. Useful taverna at one end of it. Great for beach-lovers.

We set out after breakfast towards Livaniana for wonderful fresh orange juice at the blissful little taverna overlooking the area, fantastic views, we then ventured up to the church and over the ridge to make our way into the beautiful Aradena Gorge, not for the faint hearted but, you are rewarded with the tranquil taverna at the end of the gorge at Marmaras bay
Fantastic

This is the best sea I've ever been. Cold, clear blue water, full of fish and wonderful beach!!!! Nudists and tents at the one side, umbrella sets at the other. There is a taverna in the sea for coffee/snack/meal. There are boat tours from Chora Sfakion to Glyka Nera (4 hours) and Loutro (2 hours) not very costly.

If Gods have to choose the place for the garden of Edem, perhaps they would did it on Crete.. And if nature must plant wrists, perhaps she would did it with herbs.. On a small graphical, traditional village of Sfakia,we create our own paradise and we invite you for a guide in the world of herbs..

Bungy Jumping Aradaina Bridge 138 meter high.
Myself and my wife did this at the end of June. It was our first bungy and a memorable experience for both of us. The bungee was absolutely amazing, and the location/scenery is stunning.
If you're unsure whether to do a bungee or not, go for it, it was brilliant!

Looking for a diving adventure? Or would you prefer a cruise to an exotic destination just to chill out on? Maybe you want to be more adventurous and rent a boat to discover the southernmost part of Europe on your own? Why not catch your own fish for dinner, while enjoying the wild beauty of the island? We rented an 80horses boat from Notos Mare for a one-day trip along the coast. The service was excellent from the first to the last moment: Sofia did a great job checking us in and out as well as explaining the route, her English is...MoreThankyou very much for your kind words! We´re very happy you enjoyed your time on the south coast using one of our boats! Hope to see you again sometime soon for another marine experience!

Well worth a visit to this ruined fortress when in Loutro. It sits on top of the hill behind the village and there is a path behind the village that takes you up. Having said that I took the coastal path from just past the ferry port to Fenix/Phoenix which is a lovely walk with great views and then I walked up the hill from there. The track up is very clear to spot. There is a reasonable amount of the fortress still standing and it is very easy to conjure up in your mind images of days gone by. The views on the walk back down to Loutro has gorgeous. I would definitely put a walk up to the fortress on my list of things to do when visiting Loutro.

TAXI SFAKIA CRETE Since 1981 and for more than 30 years, being experienced on taxi vantaxi & minibus transportation to all parts of Crete, we continue to offer you reliable taxi transfers in Chania and all over Crete on the basis of ultimate client securityand service and adjust to your own needs, always with the best and most competitive prices.
I used Taxi Sfaki for a transfer from Chania Airport to Chora Sfakion. Booking on the Internet was straightforward and efficient.
The driver was waiting our arrival at Chania Airport with a sign.He conveyed our suitcases to the nearby minibus as the car was not available. We were the only passengers,it was extremely comfortable, air conditioned, clean and we were provided with bottles of chilled water.
The driver was first class and drove us perfectly to our destination at Chora Sfakion at a cost of 85 euros.
Later in our holiday we met the owner of Taxi Sfakion who without our knowledge at the time paid for our coffees at a nearby restaurant.A very kind gesture which was greatly appreciated.
We would definately use this company again.

There are essentially two Beaches here at Ilingas (Stunning): both with sand, gravel and pebbles; their clear blue water deepens abruptly. The first, to the west, is the larger: you can park nearby and walk down some steps (3 minutes) to the beach itself. The second, to the east, is more isolated: you will need a boat from Sfakia, or to swim from the first beach. Both are excellent for diving and snorkeling.
On every side exist large caves, open to investigation..
