Keeping in mind that this museaum features a single exibit, I am both pleasently surprised and fairly excited to have visited the place! Very modern, clean, great design and feel about the place. Not to mention, the statue of Apoksiomen was marvelous.
Not cheap for Croatian museaum, but well worth it.

Absolutely beautiful place.
The path is really well made & follows the coastline. The sea edge is rocky & craggy, with pine woods soaring away up the hill side. The smell of sea & pine is wonderful! The colour of the water is an incredible blue/green - so clear & clean (& very inviting!).
It's an easy walk - we went from the hotel Bellevue to Mali Lošinj village, which was a 5-ish mile walk. It's better to do this in the morning before it gets too hot though!
It's generally a pretty quiet walk, although watch out for determined (rude) cyclists who push you off the path, don't slow down & don't thank you for moving out of their way...!

This place was recommended by one of the locals and boy was it worth the trip. A short drive from the city, this small place (very small, just a Hut with some scattered tables) had the best location around! Come an hour before sunset and enjoy a cold beer or wine overlooking the horizon. Amazing! A must!

This was one of our favourite spots on the island. Pebbles near the forest and when you get inside the sea soon you'll feel beatiful white sand beneath.
10 min of walk from the beach is a restaurant Balvanida in case you need something to drink or eat.
You can get here by taxi boat but also by taking a 45 min walk from the road. It is not too hard even for kids but upwards it takes a bit longer of course.
Wear snickers not flip flops and bring water.
It's nice here. :)

I paid for the whole day, but my sun insisted to leave the aqua park after 1 hour.... I can not say what but something is not OK with it. Maybe it is to small or I don't know...We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We must admit that this is the first negative review of Aqua Park we have received…. Sincerely, Jadranka kampovi d.o.o

Blue World Institute carries our research on resident population of about 180 bottlenose dolphins. As research goes on for 30 years, each dolphin has its name and can be recognised. In Losinj Marine Education Centre you can learn about dolphins and their environment. Also, you can Adopt a dolphin and support the work of the organisation to protect this small dolphin group. You can also inquire and book Dolphin Watching Tour with Blue World and experience dolphins in their natural environment guided by experienced educator and skipper. If you would like to participate in 10 day course with researchers, inquire about eco-volunteering!
Walk through peaceful Veli Losinj and find the Blue World dolphin research center. Bring the kids - target demographic goes all the way from toddler (clean toys and lots of craft supplies) to teens, with a good quality 20 minute film (subtitled with actual audio mostly in Croatian with some English). A quality experience made by professionals intent on sharing their work. No kitsch - but lots of engaging information.
The film and exhibits cover basic biology and conservation. Staff are clearly passionate about the work, and easily switch languages as needed. Upstairs is the research project's offices, and the content links the scientific research with the beauty of wildlife.
Blue World now hosts dolphin search tours three times a day - advance Reservations are helpful as demand is high during the summer months.

This "Garden of scents" as named in the tourist guide is a small garden with local plants that grow also elsewhere on the island. It was not very colourful, when we visited it, it was beginning of August. But it is a lovely place to visit, if you are spending two weeks in a small place as Mali Losinj. What I liked most is the lovely decoration among the plants. Small garden objects, colourful benches. It's not a place which would render you speechless with its beauty, but it's very "adriatic" and worth the visit, if you want to see more than just Beaches and city centre.

It's a great looking tower, but it is mostly blocked by cafe's and apartments. Too bad, but most photos will only show the top.

This important church in Veli Lošinj is a surprise. There is very little place near the local port. Church is protecting the boats, fisherman and the village. More interesting is interior. It is like an old museum of furniture, altars and paintings. Some are described in guide books. You will also admire many carvings, from sculptures to tombs.
