The management/authorities kept the place clean and maintained. The beach was equipped with restaurants, souvenir shops, toilets, changing rooms, surau, etc. However, the beach is not suitable for swimming. If you choose to walk down the trail, please beware of the monkeys. Keep away any foods/drinks/plastic bags/containers because the monkeys might grab it from you.

Magnificent mosque inside and outside. The mosque is named after the first ruler of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Mu'adzam.
The mosque have 4 minaret and all of them are covered with marbles. Is very large and can accommodate up to 10,000 people. Beautiful architecture i guess looks more into Ottoman style.

This is a nice small place to explore. Upon purchasing the tickets we could hitch a ride from a small train to go into the mine. The inner cave of the mine is cool and wet.
However, the management could do more by placing more lights or guide in the mine.

We were visiting this beautiful waterfall on a Tuesday school/ work morning, there were no other visitors in sight. We are a family of 5 (2 senior citizens and 3 adult children).
Driving journey to the location:
+ Many trees, cooling ambiance
+ Road signs were sufficient
- Expect uneven roads
Entry:
+ RM 1.00 per adult and RM 3.00 for parking (I think it's a good idea for maintenance purposes)
+ Shady parking spots
- Unfriendly ticket attendant
The walk to the waterfall:
+ Surrounded by shady trees
+ Walking path provided (there are 2, take the one where you'll have to cross the iron bridge which is a less taken path)
+ Not very far in, approx 400m in
+ An advice for senior citizens to take a carefree slow walk in
+ You may opt for wearing flip flops
- The walkway may have moss grown over time. Be cautious as it may be slippery, esp if it rains
Waterfall:
+ You can place your things on boulders
+ The waterfall is amazingly clean and the view is lovely
+ Trees offer enough shades
+ If you're lucky, you may catch a small rainbow
- Do go to the loo before you reach at the waterfall spot
- Beware of leeches at damp places (though you won't find any 100 feet around the waterfall)
Overall verdict:
Cleanliness 4
View 5
Fresh Air 5
Journey 4.5
Entry ticket 4.5
I will definitely come again!

Just like other beach, this place is good for family picnic or gathering. Enjoy the scenery, the beach, playing with sand, swimming and other outdoor activities. Usually crowded during holidays but happening is great. Lots of great restaurant around here so hungry is not a choice. Try looking for the best recipe of #patin #tempoyak and #sambalhitam lazat but couldn't find.

This little known hill separate the inland from the famous Teluk Cempedak, thus the name 'Pelindung', means to provide shelter. Located near the Kuantan city itself, this recreational park is very accessible to the locals, and visitors too.
There is a paved road all the way to the two peaks which house the communication transmission towers. About midway up these steep incline, you can see the main trail on your right side, which goes downhill towards Teluk Cempedak beach. The trail is about 2 km and should provide a fairly good work out.
Where certain hills provide steps, I personally prefer these paved/non-paved with no steps since the gradient allows me to modulate my steps, thus reducing the stressful impact of to my knees when going downhill, on steps.

I was here with my whole family members; spouse and three young kids. They truly enjoyed the experiences of taking pictures with the 3D arts. The place is actually previously was a pre independence shoplot and that itself is an atrraction. Dont expect too much though as this place is not very big but I guess for a small town this is fair enough. The only complaint is that the price is a bit high , if the management could lower the price it might attract more visitors.

Taman Esplanade is located along Jalan Besar beside the Kuantan River. There is a paved walkway about a kilometer long. It is a popular spot for fishing and family activities. A nice place for evening walks or just to relax and enjoy the views of fishing boats in the Kuantan River.

-Fresh dry seafood available with reasonable price -Variety of seafood are provided: dried oyster, scallop, ikan bilis, udang kering, dried sea cucumber, salted fishes, keropok (ikan, udang, sotong, etc.), abalone, seafood snacks, seaweed and so on. -Traditional shop with friendly staff -One malay restaurant and a chinese restaurant nearby (In case you are hungry) -Seafood snacks are must try in the shop!
Kiah Kee is located beside a highway, not accessible for the regular tourist. I was driving, but still I had a hard time finding it...despite google navigator. And the result was rather disappointing. Small dingy place, and not very organized, and dusty (right behind the highway, what do you expect).
I found a much better location for dried fish, shrimps and ikan billis. There are a few such stores along Jalan Besar in Kuantan city, the one opposite Mega View hotel is the best among them, it's operated by the 3rd generation in the family business. A English speaking lady who was very informative about her products. This place unlike Kiah Kee is clean and well organized and is located right in town...and the best thing is, if you are not happy with them, there are another two to three competing business just a short walk away.
