Krugersdorp (Afrikaans for Kruger's town) is a mining city in the West Rand, Gauteng Province, South Africa founded in 1887 by Marthinus Pretorius. Following the discovery of gold on the Witwatersrand, a need arose for a major town in the west of the reef. The government bought part of the Paardekraal farm and named the new town after the Transvaal president, Paul Kruger. Krugersdorp no longer has a separate municipal government after it was integrated into Mogale City Local Municipality along with surrounding towns. It is now the seat of government for Mogale City.

Wonder cave is a great introduction to caves for those who have not done this before. Made up of a huge single chamber (larger than a rugby field there are no tight passages or issues related to claustrophobia. We did the tour with my daughter (7) and my father (70) and everyone managed fine. The steps down to the lift are steep but should not be a problem for anyone of average fitness. The formations in the cave are impressive - large and in good condition, well explained by our guide. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Welcome to an Eden hidden in the West Rand of Gauteng where beautiful nature welcomes visitors and the rushing water of the Witpoortjie Waterfall, gushing from a height of 70 metres, soothes and revitalises careworn city-dwellers. The garden is home to a pair of breeding Verreaux's Eagles (Black Eagles) which have become proud symbols of this majestic garden. Walking, hiking, picnics, exercising, bird watching, relaxing, nature appreciation, are some of the popular activities of visitors to the garden.
South Africa is very interesting and although the number of attractions are little compared to old countries it does worth a lot program yourself.
Today we visit this botanical Gardens! What amused me was not the variety of species, nope but the infrastructure! Fabulous even the trails to the top of the waterfall!
I imagined doing picnics there, watching Concerts there! There are is huge and there is nature everywhere!

The caves sadly were pillaged for limestone decades ago so this leaves the formations underwhelming particularly if you’ve visited other caves offering majestic formations. The cave experience itself though is wonderful although not recommended for mobility impaired or those that suffer from claustrophobia. There is a section where the cave constricts to a narrow 1m high and 1m wide and here you either need to crouch down or crawl (being a big, tall guys this is what I did). Then you have a couple of hundred steps to climb out but it is very manageable. The guide we had was fun and informative keeping the presentation very light. Recommend.

Reliable Shuttles and Transfers is a Johannesburg based private shuttle service that sees our drivers take you safely to and from your destination of choice. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With our competitive pricing, friendly service and high regard for your safety we can guarantee your satisfaction.
We just recently used Reliable Shuttles from Bakubang, Pilansberg to Johannesburg. To our surprise Jack and Glynn arrived to transport us in person and our journey could not have been better! So much so, that we booked a follow up ride from JHB to the airport for our trip home to Canada. We had a fabulous journey, the price was right, and to add to the fun, Jack and I reminisced about the good old 70's. A great couple who made us feel completely safe and secure throughout our journeys. Jack even went the extra mile by taking us through my old neighbourhood so that my Canadian family could get a glimpse of where I was raised. Kudos, kudos, kudos to Reliable... we highly recommend their services!!

We spent 4 hours here and had such a great time. There are no elephants here but we saw many animals which was fun. We saw rhinos, lions feeding, wild dogs, impala, springboks, snakes, jaguars, black panther, giraffes, etc.
You drive around this park as it is vast. You can organise to be taken around in open land rovers if you want. You can also stay in the park as they have chalets in the park.
There is one region where you can walk through the cages and pat some of the animals. Really a fun experience. Check out which days and times they feed the lions and wild dogs. This only happens on certain days.

Outdoor court has entertainment for young and old. We went to the movies which was reasonably priced. Kids enjoyed the makeshift december beach and the water Fountains. Food prices are a bit steep at places. Barnyard shows are on special for december. Can definitely visit.

It is a "must visit" place if you come to South Africa. Great experience. Millions year of history in only one site. The visit to the cave requires you to be fit for going down and up about 400 steps, plus some crawling.

Although we had a brilliant day out at Nirox . The whole Franchoek theme was great . I had a problem that the popular stores could not cope . The coffee , cheese and Belgian chocolate stores was about an hour and half wait .
