Carefully constructed to reflect the natural beauty of the mountain and glacier. The hike through the mountain leads to a viewing platform with good visibility you can see for miles.

Booked 5 days of lessons through neilson with skischule Zell am See. Our instructor Simon was super patient and did a great job of improving everyone’s confidence and skills on the slopes. Great to have someone who knows their way around the area, not only giving great tuition, but also thinking of the little things that can make the difference during the week- which lifts are warm when it’s cold, which are the best places to go for lunch, how each slope will be affected by weather conditions and tips on how to deal with that - leaving you free to try to concentrate on practicing your new skills. All the instructors were very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Made alive by guide's knowledge. Tours were in German and English so English tour had English speakers not just Brits on it. A lot of work has been done, with of course a lot to do in restoration terms. A lovely setting for a wedding reception!

My 2 daughters went on this - the cost was €120 each, plus €15 euros for the lift pass (which they don't tell you about when you book) plus €35 if you want the digital photos they take. Quite frankly, if you've already paid €120 they should throw the photos in for free or charge a nominal sum like €10.
The kids enjoyed the flight but we were slightly concerned that as they went off in the mini-bus we hadn't been asked to fill in any forms and they hadn't even asked the kids there names. Given the amount they were charging there attitudes sucked.
I could go on but suffice to say I would recommend you go to a more professional outfit who actually seem to appreciate your business.

Looks big from a distance but inside the church is quite small. Nice paintings and a painted "stations of the cross". Lots of nice carved wood and a choir/organ loft a the rear of the church over the entrance, where ther is a memorial o local men who died or went missing during WW2

The Schmitten in Zell am See provides numerous offers on the mountain as well as on lake Zell. In summertime and in wintertime the focus is on the topics sport, family, Panorama view, enjoyment & art.
My first criteria when selecting a skiing destination is will it suit my wife! She is a competent skier, but not a very confident one. In particular she doesn’t like narrow trails and drag lifts. Schmittenhohe passed the test very well! Yes, there are some narrow runs but there was enough wide open pistes to keep my wife happy. The fantastic snow conditions helped too. There are a good variety of runs, something for all abilities, although complete beginners might find some of the lower slopes challenging. I witnessed quite a few people have difficulty with the last drop into the bottom of the city express lift. Nevertheless, I found it a great mountain to ski and the views of Zell Am See are fabulous on a good day.
