Centrally located in Mariehamn, around a yard where you find a handful of restaurants, you cannot miss this small historic building. The charming Interieur of old living rooms, chairs and tables is warm and inviting. Unfortunately the outside area is not that nice, more looking like the backyard. However: delicous cakes, karnell bullar, sandwiches.
Woth to have a stop here to enjoy ambiente.

Indigo Restaurant & Bar is located centrally in Mariehamn. The house is one of Mariehamn's oldest and we have preserved much of the old historic charm of the house possesses.

We offer lunch, meeting, lunch, a la carte and business dinners. On the upper floor there is a bar with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where we also serve our bistro menu. Summer time we open the patio and bar in the courtyard.
We ate in the bar which has a similar menu to the restaurant. Our waiter was very conscientious and really knew his beers. The salmon and the burger were very nice and turned up quickly.

Ala Carte restaurant in the west harbour of Mariehamn. Enjoy the evening sun and sunset on our Terrace or inside the restaurant. During the high season we do serve lighter dishes from the Terrace menu.
Had an excellent dinner at the indoor dining room of ÅSS (there is also adjacent casual Terrace dining). Cod, beef, chicken, were all excellent choices, each with different potatoes or gnocchi and veg. Creme brûlée, ice cream & berries both great desserts. We were there during shanty festival and therefore entertained by two different shanty singing duos. Leisurely dining; restaurant was at full capacity.

We looked for this Cafe because it was said that the Cafe is gluten free /there are gluten free options according to Tripadvisor presentation. The Åland pancake was not gluten free and there were only two G-options. So we left.

We had arrived at the airport late and had, therefore, arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes before closing. The waitresses had no trouble with this and we had access to the full menu. The inside Seating was full of bar customers waiting for the casino to open and so we had to sit outside. Good heaters were provided as were blankets.
We both had a half order of the smoked salmon salad. The salad, also containing seasonal greens and root vegetables, was delicious and was almost a complete meal in itself! For my entrée I had the local marinated fillet of cod. Served with new potatoes and in-season vegetables, it was pure flavor.

We ate here twice during our stay on the Islands. Lovely food both times:we can vouch for the grilled tuna, beefburger and pasta dishes. Very fresh and tasty vegetables .Great service and friendly staff. We do not speak Swedish or Finnish but the staff all spoke fluent English which was helpful to us. Dino's also seemed very popular with local residents which is always a good sign.

There's nothing like eating dockside during nice weather. This was a great place for lunch. Daily specials are always a good deal. I had a shrimp salad and my wife had grilled salmon. The portions were substantial, the service a little slow.

I enjoyed a festive dinner with colleagues in a chambre séparée at the Nautica (formerly the Nautical Club; its history goes back several years). Had an excellent starter of various picked herrings (a regional specialty) and a really good cheese, then reindeer steak as a main course. Whilst this menu might well be considered to be quite conventional and traditional, everything was very good and came with excellent wine pairings. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Nice rustic little bistro decorated in a kind of navy style. Short menu. Fairly quick service. The pizzas were excellent! Can highly recommend the one with smoked salmon and horseradish. Also enjoyed the one with goat cheese. As much the restaurant is called "pub" it felt very family oriented. Would love to come back for another pizza night!

Newly built restaurant influenced by classic French design. The seafood platter is our speciality but we also offer a number of other choices including meat, fish and vegetarian alternatives.
When visited at very end of October 2016, the brasserie offered a set dinner menu only, with chanterelles soup for starter, pork or fish or vegetarian main, and brownie with ice-cream to finish. Everything was great. With 3 glasses of Valpoliciella red wine, the bill came at €70.
Later in the evening a local band rocked the place, playing fantastic covers, and their repertoire was eclectic, but they made everything rockier.
