Jordan is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, Israel and Palestine to the west. Visiting Ave Maria islet is part of our island hopping experience. Beautiful island with a very fine white sand, crystal clear water and a small shoreline not ideal to cater big visitor.However, it's unique landscape and calm nature is extremely refreshing.it's has a very interesting story according to some local about the name of the island. island hoolpping package is cheaper compare to other place it cost us around myr 70-80.I get the package from the place we stayed which is alubijod beach resort. Locals are very friendly and accommodating. Food? No worries as some of the resort allowed the guest to bring in food from the local homes who offered cooking service for the tourist. restaurant is also available.

SEAFDEC at Igang Nueva Valencia should not be confused with Taklong Island National Marine Reserved Area. TINMAR is located at Lapaz Nueva Valencia with an estimated area of 1,143 hectares covering the Islands of Taklong and Tandog - including the surrounding islets and water - extending towards Jordan..It is the University of the Philippines Visayas Marine Research Center complete with laboratory, lecture room, and dormitory. The place looks simple with small beach some meters away from the station but it is a true marine paradise for people who love exploring the underwater world.

We went here through a Multicab but because of the rough road we had to hike to go to the church/ chapel.
When you go up, the view is not worth the hike. Plus its so creepy! My sisters stayed at the cab and did not join the hike, they heard a woman screaming then singing voodoo like songs.
When we go back to the cab we heard it too! It's soo creepy that we asked the driver to start the engine right away.

If you are into some rustic beach experience, then this is the place for you. To get to Tatlong Pulo from Iloilo, you need to ride a pumpboat (20 mins) from the port in Iloilo. When you reach Jordan port, you may commute or rent a jeepney, traveling time can take maximum of 1 hour up to Sinapsapan. Your ride will only bring you until a junction and from there (there is no landmark), you need to hike for about 30 minutes (depending on your pace) until you reach the beach area. This is a semi-private beach resort so few people visit here. You should not expect any first-class accommodation when you get here. There is no hotel, no electricity and flowing water (just imagine being stranded to a beach like Tom Hanks or Leonardo DiCaprio). The sources of Freshwater would be the deep and artesian wells. There is no stores or restaurant where you can buy food but you can ask the caretaker of the beach resort to prepare food for you.

Like Ave Maria Islet, this one is also usually included in an island hopping activity in Guimaras. It is practically a marine sanctuary that aims to protect turtles and provide them with a breeding ground. You'll get a chance to see some of them in big tubs or sometimes (and unfortunately) on the shore tied by a string. Nothing much to do here.

When I first walked around Guimaras Wonder's Farm, I also noticed that they "lack maintenance" - weeds everywhere but as we learn about the farm, I knew the reason behind it. Guimaras Wonder's Farm is into organic farming and such "lack of maintenance" is part of it. They don't use pesticides and they encourage natural sources of nutrients. Dry leaves are used for their composting.
Actually, at first glance there is nothing special about this farm especially if you are from the Philippines but as you walk around with the owner, Ms. Rose Griesser provide you some information, it is a learning experience. You will be encouraged to live a healthier lifestyle.
I wish to take my own children them next time. It is a nice exposure. The hilly terrain is also refreshing and I love that you see the color green everywhere - a nice break from eye strain caused by looking at monitors all day.
I bought their home-made organic jams too.

It was December 11, 2011 when we went to Sad-sad Falls in Jordan, Guimaras. Our backpacks are ready and six (6) of us will be going there. We hired a tricycle from Jordan Wharf and the driver is also our guide. As we travel along the way, we encounter some problems with the tire and we headed in a shop, near Jordan market to fix it. while waiting, we bought some food and drinks. We almost consume more time waiting for the tricycle to be fixed but still our excitement is still there.
After a long hours of hiking we finally see the beauty of sadsad falls. So many crossroads along the way. After seeing the falls, we trek again going to the river of sitio bulawan. Even though we didn't got a chance to enter the cave in sitio bulawan we still have so much fun.Thank god it didn't rain and no snakes along the way =)
**WE LOVE NATURE AND PLEASE TAKE GOOD CARE OF OUR NATURE BECAUSE IT"S PRECIOUS =)

Buho Ramirez Cave is also called Baras Cave. It is one of our itineraries in the island hopping tour. During low tide, a small boat can dock inside the cave. For me, it is a mini underground river (like that of Palawan's famous undeground river), which is home to many fruit bats. The rock formations inside the cave with the roofed stalagmites and stalactites rocks are nice attractions inside. The water inside the cave is not too shallow or deep and you can take a dip on its cool clear water. It also has two entrances inside the cave which is a delight among tourists.

A few steps from Ave Maria Islet is the Turtle Sanctuary. After some photo ops near the adjacent Ave Maria, we transferred to the nearby Turtle Sanctuary. There we met the famous lone accommodating turtle. Our boatman, Mike, fetch the poor turtle in his crate for our photo ops. He let us carry the turtle, but we refused because as they say, this protected specie should never be carried or touch to avoid stressing the poor creature. So we opted to just take pictures beside the turtle. After taking pictures, the turtle was brought back to the crate and we paid php20 for disturbing the "resting time" of the turtle. Mike even invite us to see some turtle hatchlings on the enclosed container but we refused due to time constraints and because of the scorching heat, thus we headed back to the boat for our next destination.
I hope someday this turtle will be freed to its natural habitat and not just be a tourist attraction in this island.
