Cooper's Hawk Vineyards is an estate winery located on 67 acres of land just east of Harrow, Ontario, in the Essex Pelee Island Coast (EPIC) Wine Country. It's that feeling of "Welcome" and "Glad you're here". It's a genuine smile when you walk through our front door. Cooper's Hawk Vineyards is more than another winery. More than another stop along the way. It's a stop-and-stay-for-a-while place; a place where you want to relax with family and friends. And return to. Pick your spot. Is it the tasting bar, where our staff engages you in lively conversation and sampling? Could it be a sunny patch on the patio, under an umbrella with your best friends? Maybe your place is on the vast lawn, in the shade of a tree, where you hear nothing but the wind through the leaves. Perhaps our restaurant is the place for you, dining on superb cuisine, designed to match our award winning wines. What began as a simple vineyard has grown, in eight short years, into one of Essex County's most talked about and respected producers of world class wine. With more than twenty wines on our menu, it's easy to find that particular vintage that grabs you. And we are more... CHV is dining, music, fine art and theater, green spaces, wetlands, park area, and that familiar feeling of "Welcome".
Our friends suggested we meet for lunch at this winery as they were told it was worth the 45 minute drive form Windsor...and it was. Amherstburg, on the Detroit River, was a very pretty town with a beautiful waterfront; Gardens, Kings Navy Yard Park, Fort Malden and lots of lovely homes. We had a nice lunch at The Dalhousie Bistro, a really cute little house, on the main street. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Our Mission is to preserve the past of Canada South for the education and interpretation of present and future generations. Sitting on 100 Acres, our 25000 square foot Transportation Museum showcases modes of transportation from early wooden wheel wagons all the way to the present day Viper! Our Heritage Village is a journey back in time to 15 buildings that have been placed here from all over Essex County. Our tour guides would be happy to take you back in time to learn the treasured history of our area. Our Village is open Tuesday Through Sunday May 01 - October 31st, and our Museum is open year round for tours.
The museum/village makes a nice day trip. Both tours are guided-only, which is a good thing, since you get the background of the various displays and exhibits. The museum has a fairly extensive collection of vehicles from the past, and the village old (some really old) houses and shops.
Overall, a very pleasant experience.

We believe in small hand-crafted lots that allow us to treat each variety in each vintage with the utmost of attention and care to ensure true varietal character in each wine we release. Our commitment to quality is evidenced in our final products. Our retail store is open daily throughout the year. May - October 11 - 6pm and November - April 11 - 5pm. Weekends May - October and daily July and August we have wood-fired pizza available on-site. We hope to see you here! Cheers, The Muscedere Family
Was here for a wedding, nice scenic place. Not worth a special trip though. I met the owners who are a very nice couple. The wine was great however a little overpriced. The grapes are all handpicked and the wine is carefully made so hence the price. Pizza was made on the spot and was very good. Lots of little kittens running around and a couple of pigmy goats.

You are always welcome and usually by Sister an amazingly friendly orange cat. Maureen is a welcoming and generous hostess with their excellent red and white wines. The baco is great and they have excellent Berkshire pork sausages, Turkey kielbasa and sausages, beef burgers and more as well as fresh vegetables and other goodies. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

The owners have done a wonderful job of creating a modern winery with an old, rustic look and feel. The wines are interesting, definitely worth a try. The location on the shore of Lake Erie is one of the highlights; they even have a beach. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend ordering one of their picnic baskets and enjoying the meal with a glass of wine on the tables outside the winery. It's a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is wonderful. You might want to make it a summer tradition.
