Da Nang is laid-back and friendly, maybe because everyone you meet has just finished an amazing meal. Culinary tours are a hugely popular way to experience literal local flavor. After you’ve stuffed yourself with bold noodle soups and savory street foods, walk it off by exploring the limestone caves and Buddhist grottos of the Marble Mountains.

I loved this place. It was a good way to spend an afternoon. The murals are very beautiful, the staff is very helpful and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place as one of the must visit sites in Da Nang.

Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain)

Reviewed By Nunngo - ACT

An extensive area which is very touristy. The mountain is a fair trek, best to go with a local driver who has knowledge of the area. We did not see any monkeys but then again we weren't looking real hard. The views form the mountain top are spectacular, sadly on the day we were there it was raining and quite foggy. The temples, Gardens and the huge Buddha on the mountain are worth visiting but with lots of buses full of tourists it makes it hard to relax and photograph the scenery.

Lady Buddha

You really need a vehicle to get up here (i rented a moped from Da Nang bikes). A really nice place to look round, with several temples, pagoda’s and Gardens. Lady Buddha statute is impressive up close and really good views of the bay. I paid 10,000VND as a donation to park the moped and it’s free to walk round.

Another beach to be visited, and fun to watch the local fishermen in traditional boats and coracals (round fishing boats), navigating the waves and throwing out and retrieving their nets.

My Khe Beach

Reviewed By Nuno M - Macau, China

As someone who is Thailand worn-out, My Khe beach is a great refreshment. Actual waves, no wandering beach-sellers, a selection of non-thai beers, good stuff! The beach toys for my daughter costed 10 dollars US, but that was an unnecessary expense. There is parasailing for the fearless ones. The beach is pretty clean, but I still picked a couple of straws and plastic bags to drop in the trash can.

We hired a private car with driver recommended by the receptionist-Miss Ying to visit Marble Mountain, Linh Ung Pagoda, Han Market for around 8hrs cost around USD26.On arrival at the Marble Mountain foothill we visited the Marble Factory with beautiful Marble Curving Arts.We only bought a few small items for sovinier because the big one are very expensive! After that we went up to the Marble Mountain by excavator with an entrance fee of around USD10.On the top of Dramatic Mountains, we visited the caves, temples & pagoda..There is a good view to see the whole Da Nang City from the mountain top.For those backpackers especially young teenagers can hike along the high mountain paths which you don't have to pay the up & down Excavator Fees.

Dragon Bridge

Reviewed By Larry and Susan S - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

It's worth checking out the weekend's fire-breathing dragon bridge before going out for a drink. The atmosphere among local and expats is lively. The dragon's body stretched across the bridge with an array of colored lights. Before the 9:00 pm fire display, there were street dance Performances which were enjoyable to watch. Vendors sold coconuts to drink and local snacks to enjoy. Restaurants were plenty around the area where the dragon's head was facing. At 9:00pm, the dragon spewed three times fire and smoke to everyone's delight followed by three blasts of water. Nice to take pics of this weekend evening event.
