Praiano (Italian pronunciation: [praˡjaːnɔ]) is a town and comune of the province of Salerno in the Campania region of southwest Italy. It is situated on the Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana), a prime tourist location for the region and Italy alike, between the towns of Amalfi and Positano.

The place is a touristic trap. Staff is lazy, the decoration is uggly (brand new windows with 18th century pictures on the wall) and the food is terrible!!! We ordered a spaghetti with shrimp and aspargos, but believe it - the shrimp was RAW?!?!?! and the pasta also raw. We spent €50 for a bad experience! Don't go there.

Unlike the pushy, posh, and touristic Positano and Amalfi, the sleepy little town of Praiano has a few stellar spots that offer a relaxed, all-day excursion of beach, boat, food and drink, that can go into the night with dinner and drinks and a taxi ride or vespa home.
Il Pirata is the place for excellent food on the water. A nice bar, great negronis, good wines, beautiful seafood, and a family run business that's open all day and night.
Swim off the patio by day, sit for drinks and slow food into the sunset, and stay for cocktails and dinner.
And definitely wait for Pogo, the family dog, to arrive on his own by bus (really, it's a hoot) to patrol the gulls and keep everyone happy.

One Fire Beach isn't really a beach but an experience. You have an incredible view of Positano in the distance, and an incredible staff of people who do everything they can to make sure you have the best time. We had reserved seats (recommended) and the owner Picolo came and personally introduced himself and sat us. The staff was exceptional, and incredibly accommodating. I was even stung by a jelly fish and they helped apply some basic mediacation before I medicated myself with one of their outstanding cocktails. If you are in Positano ESCAPE the madness and ferry over here. It's better than Positano's Beaches, better service, not as many kids, and the watermelon show is hilarious. We stayed in Praiano (which I HIGHLY recommend, Positano is massively overrated) and it was an exceptional day. For the value, it's outstanding. We settled into a 13 Euro white wine after Prosecco and cocktails and it was awesome.

Wish I had discovered this place earlier. It's worth many repeat visits. Right by the beach so the view was great. Family run so friendly intimate service. I enjoyed an aperol spritz, seafood risotto, salad and tiramisu. All washed down with a lovely glass of dry white. Highly recommended.

We will welcome you on our Terrace with a view suspended midway between the sky and the sea ... From here, you can relish the flavours of the cuisine and wines of the Amalfi Coast. We will amaze you with our service, our commitment and the authenticity of our food. July and August open for dinner only.
We had lemon ravioli that were divine. Also a great pasta with sardines. The veal main dish was ok, but not fabulous. If you sit upstairs, the views are gorgeous. A very pleasant dining experience overall.

hello, we are a familiar restaurant from 50 years more or less, my mother CLELIA opened this restaurant but unfortunately is not anymore with us, but we continue to give to our customer the same love service and friendly relationship .
Ate here twice, one lunch and one evening meal. The older chap ( probably the owner) was warm and welcoming each time, which always sets the scene for us. Even then would have been happy with average food but this was anything but. Wonderful lemon and prawn risotto and mussels and sea bass in the evening all cooked to perfection. Good advice on local and inexpensive wines. The location is not the most perfect - the restaurant sees little sun and is by a packed and noisy beach but don't let that put you off. You won't pay a premium for a view but the place has a lovely ambience.

The food was great, but the staff was even better!
Elio was exceptional, very friendly and made our night very entertaining!
The caprese salad was one of the best I tried in Italy! I can't have enough of those mozzarella di bufala!
For the main dish, I had the Castagna fish with orange sauce which was very tasty.
Highly recommended!

Lovely setting on the seaside overlooking all of positano in the distance, the sea and all the boats.. service was impecable. Picked us up in their car from our hotel. Two of us had the chateaubriand. ..excellent. I had the chicken with roasted eggplant and the tomato soup to start. Both very enjoyable. Good wine selection. Highly recommend

We were looking for somewhere nice to have our last lunch before heading to the airport for our homeward flight. We hit the jackpot here! We had the best meal of the whole holiday, with a gorgeous view to look at while we enjoyed it! The car park is adjacent to the road and has cctv. You then take a lift down to the restaurant. I ordered the mussels and clams to start and my partner had the stuffed baby squid. Both were excellent and generous portions too! My partner chose the Amalfi risotto (cooked with lemon and king prawns) as his main course and he said it was superb! I chose the pasta dish with bolognese sauce and ordered a tomato and fresh basil salad to go with it. Delicious! I finished up with a gorgeous panna cotta and he went for a pear cheesecake which was deliciously light. We rounded the meal off with a coffee and a camomile tea and just sat and savoured the scenery. A wonderful experience! Very good service too. Would definitely go back!
