Girls weekend away. We stopped in at the brewery for a quick bite. We ordered two platters to share between the five of us. The meat platter and the cheese platter arrived with breads and pickles. What an absolute treat! The atmosphere was fantastic as well as their ciders. The brewery is an institution in Clarens and is an absolute must!

Browsed for ages through the treasures at this quaint little shop. Loved the trinkets on offer and one can definitely get a few bargains if you look hard enough. An enthralling collection of days gone by, the music adding to the shopping ambience. Loved it. Got a few lovely things too.

We are a family run business operating from Clarens, Eastern Free State South Africa. Our main market is taking visitors into Lesotho on either day trips or multi-day depending on clients preference. Owner driven tours ensures attention to detail and a high level of reliability. Contact us to book your pony trekking trip, scenic drives into the Mountains, rock art sites, craft market visits and for a shuttle up the Mountains in winter to Afriski Mountain Ski Resort in Lesotho. For a list of summer activities at Afriski contact us or visit our website. We have several destinations for hiking in the Maluti's for the enthusiast or for casual walks to enjoy the scenery. Dedicated Basotho Guide accompanies our Tours which adds amazing opportunities to learn and appreciate the local culture.
Wanting to know what there was to do in Clarens we were directed to Maluti tours and they could not have been more helpful. They even helped us with our new mobile phone with which we were having problems - can't get better service than that! We were told about the town's walking maps, local brewery and other activities including the quad biking that they organised for us - certainly recommend that if you want excitment.

We booked a half day trip white water rafting (2 adults, one 8 yr old). They transport you from the centre of Clarens to the River Ash (about 25 mins). I was impressed with the level of organisation and the safety briefing.
The rapids are a mix of grade 2, 3 and 4. The guide was very good with providing instructions and we had a great time! There are also a few stretches of calm water where you can paddle along watching the wildlife. Our 8 year old loved it!
There was a rest stop half way and cold drinks were provided free of charge.
Note that there are no changing facilities at the start or finish but you can leave a change of clothes in the vehicle if you want to change at the end of the trip.
