We are a family run business located in the picturesque harbour village of Portsoy in Aberdeenshire on the Moray Firth, Scotland and have a smaller outlet in Turriff. Alex and staff strive to create an exciting range of ice creams and sorbets which are all made in our Portsoy shop using the finest, and when possible, local ingredients. Over the years we have won numerous awards for our ice creams and sorbets at the National Ice Cream Competition and are preferred suppliers of Fasque House, a beautiful wedding venue.
In 18 months this little gem has grown! The ices remain fantastic and according to my fiancee are the best she has ever tasted especially the rose and lemon! Rest assured we will be back!

Scotland’s Moray Firth is teeming with amazing marine life and it’s all on show at Macduff Marine Aquarium. This fascinating attraction leads you to discover the firth’s underwater habitats, with realistic displays taking you from the shoreline to the murky seafloor – you’ll meet hundreds of local fishy characters of all shapes and sizes. Look out for the shark nursery and get hands on with seashore critters at the touch pools. Don’t miss seeing the feeding frenzy when divers jump in with the fish in the unique kelp reef tank! There are talks and feeding shows every day, quizzes for the kids, a gift shop and all day tickets. Enthusiastic staff will help make your visit memorable.
Inservice day from school.....
Took my two boys up to see the improvements, can't see what's different!
We have always loved taking a trip there, the main tank was beautifully cleaned so maybe that's it?
Staff doing the talk - very knowledgeable and passionate about the fish.

My wife and I visited this centre for lunch while touring Scotland recently - rather average in our opinion.
On arrival we were met by a very nice older lady at the entrance who runs the tourist shop. She gave us an excellent briefing about the centre. We then headed for the Cafeteria and joined the queue.
We both chose the salmon and scrambled egg Sandwich. Unfortunately the salmon tasted suspiciously like the tinned version and looked a deathly grey colour. The scrambled egg was excessively overcooked and rubbery in texture.
Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful but they did appear to get in each others way but that could be because their working area is a bit on the small side for the range of food they're dealing with and the number of staff on duty that day - 6.
For the tourist / visitor it's well worth a visit from the local, national and military historical perspective. RAF Banff played a huge part in Britain's defence.

A magnificent early Georgian mansion, designed by William Adam for the Earl of Fife. It is considered to be an Adam masterpiece and is one of the most important buildings in the North. The foundation stone was laid on the 11th June 1735 and the building was finished five years later, although it took over 100 years to complete the interior. Duff House is a jewel set in a stunning triangle of coast, river and parkland. There is a tea room and shop on ground-floor level, as well as temporary Exhibitions by visiting artists and societies.
We visited Duff House in September and enjoyed our 90 mins wandering about. We chatted to the guides who were stationed around the house and gave lots of useful information and directions. As Australians we were directed to the two old globes(1700-1800) with one showing the lack of the southern coast of Australia as the globes pre-date the completed mapping of Australia - we really appreciated the guide's time in pointing this out to us. The decorations, furniture and paintings are well worth the time to spend there looking at the many rooms and gaining a smalll glimpse of life in Victorian times.

Beautiful Rebel, is situated within The Retreat Hair & Beauty salon in Whitehills. Lenise has 11 years of Beauty and Spa experience, carrying out a professional service of treatments ranging from waxing and nails to a more relaxing massage or facial.
Booked with Lenise for eyelash treatment. I was delighted with it and the results. But not only did she do that, she used the free time to give me a foot, hand and Indian head massage. Truly wonderful...!!! ?Thank you very much for your fantastic review and I look forward to seeing you again for some more relaxation soon.. Lenise

A cliff top parkland course which certainly presents a challenge for the more serious golfer, and offers enjoyable golf in an ideal setting for the not so serious. A warm welcome awaits all visitors to Royal Tarlair and all we ask of you is to enjoy your golf while here.
Played here for many a year and never not enjoyed my 18 holes. Excellent views, quality greens all year round and the par 3 13th is to die for, up there with the best in the U.K if not world.

Surfing, Standup Paddleboarding, Coasteering & Bodyboarding lessons, hire and sales.
Yesterday our children (8 and 11) had their first experience of Surfing with Suds Surf School. It was an excellent experience from putting on their wetsuits and shoes, all provided, to catching their first wave. They were on the sea in the beautiful Sandend beach for nearly 3 hours and had s fantastic time. The instructions were clear and the instructor was totally in control and motivating throughout the lesson. I would totally recommend this!

We adored the long weekend we spent hiking around the trail network on the Glenlivet Estate. From moorland to forest to sprawling green farms, this is an absolutely gorgeous part of the world, and not too many people around to mess it up!
We'd go back in a second.

This is one of the oldest museums in Scotland, and is filled with the history of a very historic tow. Look out for the Banff silver, and the display on the Deskford carnyx.
My wife and I recently visited this museum during a trip to Scotland. Very informative and interesting. The staff member on duty was helpful and very friendly, a lovely lady who was very enthusiastic, thank you.
