Country house hotel & restaurant serving lunch & dinner daily in our dining room with beautiful views of the countryside, and comfy lounge bar with open fire. Specialising in freshly cooked local produce.
This was our second visit in the past few weeks. First time round it was amazing and this time just as good. Freshly prepared food to a very high standard. Would highly recommend !!!Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are glad you enjoyed your meals and we look forward to seeing you again sometime.

Got carry out fish supper and scampi supper. Quality was reasonable but nothing great. Contrary to what owner seems to think, yes, it is expensive. We live two doors from a chippie and are familiar with prices. Rockfish was over £3 more for the two suppers. Biggest shock was when I asked for salt and brown sauce. This is the usual down here in the south east of Scotland but, was told they didn't do brown sauce however, they could sell me a wee portion in a plastic tub, (ready under the counter!) for 60p. I was so shocked I just took it. Didn't even think to walk straight across the road to the supermarket and buy a whole bottle! Average food, average portions, high prices and sauce extra. We didn't bother going back

Came here for a family lunch whilst visiting family. Service was fantastic, the food was delicious and great value for money. Great choices on the menu and for children too. Loved the decor very modern.

Cafe restaurant serving our famous all day breakfasts. Morning/afternoon tea & fresh ground coffee with a selection of freshly baked scones & pancakes and delightful home bakes. Meals served daily, home cooked specials available and homemade desserts. Served in a cosy friendly atmosphere with a wee bit of history.
Went here for the first time a few days ago and we will definitely return.Lovely wee cafe serving delicious home made food.My hubby and myself both had the tattie soup with bread and butter for starter,I had the chicken and skirlie for main,he had the steak pie, vegetables etc.The homemade chips were so good!! We didn't really have any room left for afters but he managed to squeeze in strawberry cheesecake with cream and I had a slice of millionaire shortbread.Everything we had was totally delicious.
We had all of the above and Pepsi and Coffee and it came to the very reasonable price of £30.The people were so friendly and the cafe was clean. The food was served quickly despite being freshly made.

Visited recently for a take away as we had our dog with us so can't comment on the restaurant.
Street parking managed to get parked near by.
The food was nice £14.95 for one meal, felt this was a wee bit pricey for a take away.
Would recommend and would return.

Quiet place found down a lane, beside the pottery( Water Gow). Friendly welcome and service from a young girl.Good menu choices with a specials list too.Lots of fish dishes ,which we like when you visit a costal restaurant ! Good fresh hot plates of food ,executed very well. Will defiantly return another time, with more planing.

We spent 17 nights at the county whilst working in the area.
The hotel is in lovely old building with a grand staircase.
Rooms were clean and had a great view over the beach towards Macduff.
Breakfasts were excellent.
Eric the host was most attentive and provided anything you needed.
The evening meals were also very good all cooked fresh and using Eric's French heritage.
All in all great value for money.

This was without doubt the worst Indian meal it has ever been my misfortune to come across. Nearly £30 for two starters and a main with rice - seriously? A take away? Don't mind paying for quality but this was awful. £8+ for a two prawn starter? Shameful. Stale food, poorly spiced, uninspiring. I don't like posting this kind of review, but this outlet should not be in business.

A nice wee place that is open a little earlier than its neighbours. The service is friendly and welcoming. There is a good range of coffees and food.
