We were on a social visit to Nizamabad.Prior to our return journey our relatives stressed us to visit this sacred place.
Just a 30 kms from Nizamabad.Road is half highway and balance half is good and under widening process. So a 45 minutes to 50 minutes drive.Reached in early morning @7,30 pm.
Take a holy dip in the River nearby and drive to the temple.Due to short of time we had to cancel the dip but most local people took the dip.ample parking space .Climb a few steps and you are guided to the entry point for darshan.
Had a soulful darshan and took blessings of other deities nearby in the temple. Also visited the holy dome where the sacred ritual of blessing young siblings before they start their entry to nursery and theron.
After this visit felt how young children in South have a holistic approach both towards education and life. This is instilled in them from childhood.People come regularly as they advance in their life to graduation and post graduations for Goddess Sarawati's blessings.
Takes 2 to 3 hrs in less crowd to visit the shrine and nearby deities;
Took snacks on the highway.Nice south indian delicacies served.
If you have an opportunity to be nearby DO visit this place.

Kuntala Waterfall

Reviewed By Hemant M

The drive from Gachibowli, Hyderabad to Kuntala Waterfalls was the highlight of our day trip. The road was as good as it gets. Smooth roads and picturesque surroundings. We were well stacked with food otherwise that could be a challenge as there were not many decent eating places on the way.
The Waterfalls in itself are good, though would be much better if one goes towards the later part of the monsoons when there would be more water. You need to navigate a good 400+ steps to reach the Waterfalls. We realised the magnitude of the task at hand on the way up, it felt like 800 steps!
There is not much to do when you go down to the Waterfalls. Going into the water is not permitted due to safety issues, there is no place to relax and hang around with a view of the Waterfalls. We spent about 15-20 minutes down before climbing up the flight of stairs.
On the way back we also saw the Reservoir of the SriRam Sagar dam on the Godavari river. It is a 3-4 km detour from the highway.
On the whole a good place to visit on a pleasant day. You would enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

There is a Water Reservoir and a Dam after it. Nice place to spend an Evening. We stayed at Haritha resort which is at walking distance from this Dam. The Reservoir for the dam extends till the back of the Haritha resort making it more beautiful.
Carry your own snacks as there is not much in these areas. You can drive on the Reservoir Bund till the entrance of the Dam from where you will have to walk. Not very crowded but the water seems very deep so be careful.

Around 300km from Hyderabad, 70 km from Nirmal, along a picturesque drive lies the kawal wild life sanctuary-home to several exotic species of the wild.
Jannaram, the nearest town has a pretty tourism resort at extremely affordable prices and arranges a safari at extra cost.
A 2 day trip with an overnite stay at the resort would give enough time explore the nearby Reservoir and Waterfalls while Nirmal offers endearing souvenirs to take back home.
Be sure to wear loose cottons as the weather cud be quite humid compared to Hyderabad.
