Boldrup Museum

Visit a small agricultural museum with crops and animals. It is situated in a autentic three-winged smallholding and shows what life looked like in about 1890. It tells about the peasant's life in all its facets. The family has cultivated the land and had cabbage garden with potatoes, cabbage, onions and herbs and a small flower garden. Boldrup Museum also has a number of old Danish breeds, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, geese, chickens and pigeons. The pig Gyda likes getting patted. Activities takes place on selected days.

Boldrup Museum is a small farm displaying the history of the small Danish farmer, with an emphasis on old Danish live stock - not a large amount of different species, but enough to get a glimpse and udnerstanding of the living conditions of the small Danish farmer - having his own farm, but large enough to sustain his whole family, which is the reason for having several different jobs.
The interior depicts the modest lifestyle, and the often meager living conditions in the 18th and 19th century Denmark.
The animals are traditionally Danish - goats, rabbits, pigs, hens - missing was perhaps cows and horses. Many of the animals can be touched, but be careful - they may bite :-)
The ajoining garden hosts traditional Danish fruits, berries and vegetables.
The museum is free of charge, and is partly only protected by the public, as you can enter and leave without being checked.
Worth a visit, also only as a break away from the motorway going north or south, as it is only 10 minutes from the E45.

Aars Kirke

Reviewed By LN1946 - Oksboel, Denmark

RosenParken

We had a very short visit to this rose park. They do have a LOT of roses end it is beautiful, but I think that you need to be a rose enthusiast to really love this park. Our knowledge of roses stops at their nice colors which makes this park a bit boring. It would have been nice with a handout with some of the most important roses history if they have any..

Besøgte stedet i går .

It's hard to reach it by public transportation and kinda far away from city center. They didn't maintain it and put some flag on wrong country. Unfortunately they didn't put flag on my country, and they put Singapore flag on my country. They have restaurant and playing arena for kids. It's perfect to bring kids here but for adult it doesn't worth.

Farso Kirke

Reviewed By BFPOMIke - Slough, United Kingdom

Possibly not the most immediately attractive of Denmark's many churches, but when you're in the churchyard it sits in a beautiful location and is exceptionally well maintained. Inside it has a frieze going back to medieval times, discovered a few years ago when they were redecorating. An extremely welcoming church and my all time favourite. The fact I got married in it 27 years ago helps! I visit every time we visit.
