The staff were incredibly friendly and down to earth, service was perfect. The attention to detail in the decor really added to the experience. Food was fantastic, with a wide choice on the menu. When taking into consideration all of the above the bill was very cheap. I will definitely pop down again and recommend this place to anyone.

This place used to be so good...:-( After recent changes the quality of everything (food, service, ...) dropped heavily and it's loving only from a good name and location. Invest a bit more time and go somewhere else, bit more far from the city center. It will be worth the walk.

We had two dinners here at the "Yellow Sunflower" restaurant. The atmosphere is really cosy, with benches and tables, and all tables seperated by stained glass art panels. They have menus in Czech and English.
For our first dinner I had a carbonara pasta (which was just fine and a decent size portion) and my husband ordered the "hunk of meat" - which turned out to be a fillet mignon. He said the steak was perfectly cooked. He also tried the garlic mashed potatoes (which were tasty) and his meal came with a "salad". The "salad" was a bit of a surprise - it was sort of like half cole slaw and half green lettuce in a mayonaise sauce. Neither of us liked it. The meal was pricier than anyother place we had been in Zlin.
Our second meal was on a Sunday night, and besides fast food, this was the only restauarant we could find open. They were have a week long "duck fest" - which meant for Sunday thru Saturday that week they were only offering duck dishes. The menu was very limited - about 6 dishes and the menu was only in Czech. We asked the waitress to suggest something and she brought us the "classic duck" - which was a duck leg and thigh with sauerkraut, stewed red cabbage and "potato bread". We discovered that in many Czech restaurants potato bread are actually this sort of slighly undercooked, very heavy sort of bread apparently made of potatoes. They have no flavor on their own. We ended up ordering an extra side of mashed potatoes to round out the meal. Looking around we say other guests with duck meals we thought looked more appealing to us - but what we had was very good.

We visited tam tam on a Sunday night, it was quiet with about 8 tables with customers on altogether.
Pros-
Steak was nice
Grilled Vegetables also nice
Price was reasonable
Wide range of drinks
Good sized portions
Cons-
Chicken skewers were pure fat.
Wasn't asked how I wanted steak to be cooked.
Waiting a long time considering how many customers were in.
Some of the food was oily
This restaurant loses 2 stars because the chicken skewers were awful. 1 star awarded for price, 2 stars for the steak meal.

I am not staying in this hotel, but my supplier took me to this hotel's restaurant yesterday night.
The food was lovely. The Russian soup was tasty as well as the main dish...Beef dices marinated in beer and pumpkin sauce.
I have been to this restaurant 4 times over a span of 4 years, and their food quality and service never fails me!!!

It's not a restaurant, it's a place where you go and have a beer with friends. The beer is the best thing about this place (and the fact that it's non-smoking place is also great). They have many different local beers and every time you pop in, you try a different one. Nice pub atmosphere as well.

We were there on Saturday lunch and it was nice experience. It is quite busy, so it is definitely worth to make a reservation in advance.
The ambience is nice and stylish, service is very good and the food is tasty.
It is little bit pricely (compared to other Czech restaurant), but good.
