We visited the Brauhaus Wittenberg after visiting the Castle Church. We struggled a bit to place our order. Our waitress didn't speak English and didn't seem to be aware of allergens; i.e. Gluten Free... Ultimately, our daughter went to the bar with the menu and confirmed that the Medallions of Turkey, Pork and Beef could be made GF.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Beef Goulash with Red Cabbage and Potatoes. It paired well with their "Original" beer. It paired so well that we also had to share their Appel Struedel! (It's to die for)...

I kid you not. We had strudel a dozen of the best restaurants and high class museum stops throughout Germany and Austria. This was our favorite.
I suspect it was for three important variables. One was a judicious use of cinnamon. The second was excellent tasting dough but then what else would you expect from a pasta place. Finally they toasted just right. Suspect they tossed it on pizza oven for a great crust.
Also loved sitting here for festival parade in town. Bon appitite!

Stopped here for lunch in the lovely town of Wittenberg. Sat outside in the street although there is plenty of Seating inside and on the second floor. The service was friendly and menu selection interesting and plentiful. We ordered the special of the day which was Wiener schnitzel that came with delicious French fries and a side salad. Looking at everyone plates, it looked delicious and nice portions. Glad we came here for lunch.

An einem Sommertag ist es hier voll. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich, die Speisekarte reichhaltig und die Torten sehr lecker. Allerdings bei den Damen nur eine Toilette.

With the size of Wittenberg, anything super fancy would be a distant dream. This is a corner street restaurant with a varied menu ( including options for vegetarians) and a decent bar selection.
They have a nice outdoor Seating for the sunny evenings as well :), although I must admit it is a bit amusing to see Indian/Pakistani staff serving Latin food !
We tried the steaks, a vegetarian pan preparation amongst
The food is well prepared and the portions generous. The service is quick and attentive.
A meal for 4 (with drinks) would cost about 90 euros.
I wouldn't mind going there again.

We have eaten at hundreds of these kind of restaurants over the years. This ranks with the best of them if you like potatoes. The positives: huge diverse menu, friendly and accommodating staff, great tasting food, clean property and nice outdoor Seating, quick service, fair prices. The negatives: that I don't live here and can't eat here more!' Give it a try you'll enjoy it.

What a great place to have an Ice Coffee and a cold water after walking through the sites of Wittenburg. This late 1950's early 1960's built establishment is a throwback to simpler times. The service is friendly, quick and the ice creams offered are original and plentiful.

We discovered this restaurant on Sunday evening when nothing much else was open.
It has nice decor, comfortable Seating, good service and the food was good too. They pride themselves on serving "authentic Indian food", and for the most part I agree. Our meal with drinks came out at 34.3o euros.
All in all I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Indian food.

A small Italian restaurant situated on Schloss Strasse with both indoor and outdoor tables. The menu offers an extensive choice of dishes. We chose mushroom omelette, fries and salad....not typical Italian!! but very good. The waiters were attentive and the food was prepared quickly and was beautifully presented.
