Located on a camping grounds with beach chairs - lucky if you get one of those. Quick and friendly service. Standard Italian menu, we always go for the pizzas. Good food quality, sizeable helpings. Wines are ok and not too pricey.
If you're not after a gourmet dinner and want to enjoy the island, this one's a safe bet.

No surprise Jorg Muller is keeping a top spot among Sylt's many gourmet places: Far from being cheap (even in Sylt terms), his restaurant keeps the promise and serves excellent gourmet food, presented in very creative ways. The cuisine combines French and German cuisine. This is probably one of the very best places in Sylt to have a really special dinner! The meat dishes were just amazing. As far as fish is concerned, we had the impression that this was not so much the "big love" of Jorg Muller. While still excellent, the fish dishes lacked the creativity of the other dishes. An additional plus point: the excellent service and the amazing selection of wines. If you go there, come with a lot of time and be prepared for a rather large cheque - if so, you are in for a great gourmet experience!

I dined at the Alte Friesenstube with my parents. A very charming old building and a really lovely cosy ambience inside. We were greeted by rushed staff and that did not change during the meal. We were not that hungry so choose light meals. Food was fine but the service was too rushed which made us feel unwelcomed. Overall not a memorable night.

We were there in February 2016.. It was awesome! It's a little multicultural restaurant in the centre of this amazing island! The food is Mediterranean and the prices are absolutely affordable! The owner is a crazy guy but very polite and courteous.. We were very surprised that the waitress served us in English as well.
Altogether.. It was an enjoyable evening and when we come back to Germany we will definitely visit this restaurant again!
Greets from the other side of the world to all of them!

have been there now twice with 8-10 people. grown ups and toddlers. enough space for a chariot, friendly staff with big patience for kids. food good, value good, great view. sitting there inside or on deck and watch the beach and the waves. perfect stop during an afternoon walk, or having breakfast or dinner with family and friends. the variety of home made cakes is not very big but what you get is tasty. anytime again

Following a recent recommendation, again by my hotel, I went to this place. Please nite that parking is limited. While waiting staff were friendly throughout, the food was only average, at best. The restaurant offers two dinner sittings: 6 and 8 pm. For starters I had chanterelles (very bland) and rösti, which was ok. For mains I ordered trout with sage sauce, potatoes dauphoinse and a salad. If you like bland food- look no further. Unfortunately, to me it's just an average eatery. I will not be back.

When in Sankt-Peter-Ording, we had an excellent dinner in a restaurant called Seekiste. So, when we found one with the same name in Westerland, we did not hesitate a minute (even if we were quite sure they were unrelated). The dining room is small with tiled walls and a cosy atmosphere. Staff is helpful and friendly.
We went for a full fish dinner with mussels and scallops as starters followed by Busumer-style plaice and fish and shellfish stew as main courses.
It was excellent and so fulfilling that we skipped the dessert!

The interior is farm style homey and inviting. Not to comfortable though. The food was a bit of a disappointment. The white fish overcooked and stringy rather than flakey. The samphire, popular in Britain, was salty bitter and a good combination with raspberry. Celeriac puree was ok but not velvety. The open wine, a Sangiovese was just ok. Decor over food. Not bad overall but won't return.

We like to go there on the night of arrival on the island because the place provides instant relaxation. The food is always a sure bet and wines by the glass are expertly chosen. Don't hesitate to order a bottle, though - the price range is absolutely tolerable. "Das kleine Restaurant" is also the perfect place for the solitary diner because the service does everything to make you feel comfortable - and as the place really is rather small, you can listen in on the other tables' conversations easily - should you want to.

Guess the island has not learned about service yet. After Reading in a magazine that this is Sansibars sister we decided to give it a try although the menu doesn't look to spectacular. Even got a booking on a Friday night outside. Upon arrival the service greeted us in a very rude way. When we said we'd like to have a look they said we have to ask for permission. When we said we have a booking outside they said they would give us a nice table inside. So we decided to go and leave our money at Sansibar which has better service and food for the same price. While leaving the manager gave us a rude comment.
