Szárcsa is still an excellent restaurant, high quality food, and service. The beetroot soup was amazing, so were the main courses. Soup, two meals (one game) , dessert and soft drinks costed us 9300 HUF. App. 30 EUR

This is a cosy, warm restaurant that serves generous portions of well made, hearty hungarian food. I had chicken broth with noodles (husleves - 1000ft) and pancakes filled with meat (hortobagyi palacsinta - around 1300 ft), both were tasty and more than enough for a meal. But what impressed me the most was the service: extremely quick, efficient and polite. All the members of the staff were very professional, they made us feel very welcome. I would gladly return here.
At the moment of our visit there were no kids in the restaurant, but they have lots of seats for toddlers, so it is probably a kid friendly place too :)

Although quiet (by successful restaurant standards) the food was exceptional, and the service good - if maybe a little over-enthusiastic (my request for salt and pepper seemed to surprise the waiter, as if the food is too good for further seasoning, in his opinion - that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion, just bring me the salt and pepper and let me decide if I want any! Minutes later I had to demand that he leave the pepper on the table, so determined was he to remove it! But in his defence, I am sure this was the result of extreme training.
Bean soup was served smooth - absolutely delicious, as were asparagus served in a champagne flavoured hollondaise foam. The vegan gnocchi with beetroot was slightly disappointing, but overall it was an excellent meal.

I went there after a recommendation. The garden is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever saw at restaurants. Marvelous.
The services was very friendly and helpful to choose from the menu.
I ordered the recommended "schnitzel" with fresh garden salad and mustard honey dressing. I didn't thought that I will eat one of my best schnitzel so far.
My colleague dish was also perfect as the cappuccino too.
We will certainly go back.

First of all, they don't speak any worldwide language.
Secondly, the staff isn't professional, they are rude and they don't want to even try to answer your questions.
Thirdly, the pizza isn't tasty at all.
All in all, it's sad that this is known as "the best pizza in town." Don't come here if you are really hungry and not from Hungary.

Right in the centre of Székesfehérvár's beautiful Baroque heart. We enjoyed goulash soup and roast boar with an excellent mustard sauce followed by a slice of Eszterházy cake. Good draught beer and coffee and friendly service - they were happy to turn down the canned music for us. The only pity is that no restaurants or cafés that we noticed in Székesfehérvár, including the Patria, had any historic patina or charm to match the city's, though many are in old buildings.

You can enjoy a very wide selection of cafee in Cafe Frei from all around the world. I have tried Cigar Coffee of Nicaragua and liked it a lot. Don't miss out the chocolate-nutella croissant either ;-)

Full disclosure: I am a local resident, visiting this place quite frequently.
Burgers are quite popular but I usually go for the hungarian style meals, which combine the comfort food feeling with some exciting twist.
The service is outstanding, staff is nice and professional. Also the prices are quite modest compared to the quality (but that's just my feeling)
Not a fine dining restaurant, but on the top of bistro level and you can always come in for a beer and good talk with your friends.
