I have been there several times and ate in this place- even the place looks like a fairytail, food is fresh and of a good quality. It's great with outside tables!

A very cosy café located in the very heart of Smolensk offering a wide variety of Russian cuisine dishes to every taste. Though the dishes are pre-cooked like in bistro, they are served fresh and hot. The prices are more than democratic.
Russian style interiors are also worth mentioning and will be especially appreciated by abroad travellers.
As the place is rather popular, you might wait in a queue for some 15-20 minutes at peak times.

The location of this restaurant is convenient - it's right off of Smolensk's main street.
The interior is nice - there are many different sizes of tables which would be appropriate for different occasions (a big group, a date, etc etc). It seems to be fairly popular among the lcoals, as there were several parties when we were there.
The main thing about this restaurant as I see it is that it has any kind of food you could possibly want. There is pizza on the menu, There is sushi. There is pasta. There is shashlyk. There are a bunch of other things that I now forget. And maybe you are thinking, like us, "Yeah, they can't possibly do all of that well.". I can say that everything that we did try was excellent. This might be a plus for families or groups whose tastes vary.
If you are in the center of the city and want a tasty and filling meal, this is a good place to try.

A new branch of the Hagen Beer Restaurant and Entertainment complex opened on Jul14th 2015 in the heart of Smolensk. Great place was chosen for this restaurant, a very picturesque small street in the historic centre, facing the corner of the city Gardens, Blonye.
Many visitors came in right after the opening (mostly due to curiosity and the good location), so the place was crowded.
At the entrance I was met by kitchen smell.
The staff was trying to be polite, but the place was so full and crowded that they seemed to be unable to serve every visitor.
As for the food, when going to this place, my friend and me were hoping for a fresher menu, because the food choice that is traditionally offered by this restaurant feels somewhat boring already. However, the menu was traditional, not bad, but not excellent either.
Price and quality ratio is higher than average - for which this complex is famous.

The european restaurant in the centre of Smolensk. Cozy atmosphere, attentive service. Business lunch from 12-00 to 16-00 on weekdays. There are the possibility of video broadcasts, conferences, business Lunches. Summer porch. We are waiting for You!
This place is known for their cooking and service, although prices above the average, there are no vacant places at times.
The food is excellent, waiters are very friendly and ready to help with choices and all requests, really attending to your every call.
The place has several halls, bigger and smaller ones, depending on the company.
In recent time, this seems teh only place that offers more or less decent Mediterranean cuisine choice, with rather good wines, accompanied by very nice music (sometimes live). A really comfortable place, providing an opportunity for quiet rest in a nice company, but also allowing to dance if you fille like doing that :-)

Our cosy and elegant cafe is located right in the city center. If you have ever dreamt of being "in chocolate" as we say in Russia, meaning felling completely happy and content, when everything is possible - you just need to open the doors and feel the delicious smell of cinnamon, coffee and home cuisine. We are perfect for business meeting, romantic dinner or evening out with friends-:)))
I loved this place. Beautifully decorated creating really comfortable surroundings. Leather sofas as well as tables and chairs.
Great for lunch/dinner but also tea/coffee and cakes. Extensive menu including a large Japanese selection. Friendly waiting staff. I had the meat croquettes, tasty. Need a side order with them, I chose grilled veg. To follow delicious cherry strudel and a very pretty pot of tea.
Plush loos.

After a "warm welcome ".we have been told off not to take photos of this lovely cafe . Why ? I don't know !! My friends knew the place and all the dishes were very tempting . We had "Russian Pirogi" so good and very light . I had the chicken sausage with ratatouille, very good . All teas were amazing , the green tea with mint and peas was delicious as well as the buckthorn cranberries juniper rosemary hot drink . My friend had the " Pirogi with tvorog " again very light and crispy . A must to go for a quick lunch .
