Though not quite your intimate setting, the restaurant offers good quality and we were not hurried up by the staff. A very enjoyable place for dinner, if weather permist on their Terrace which offers a splendid view. Suggestion, in case you like white wine: take the Gerardushoeve house wine (Johanniter), it's fairly good!!

A reunion with special friends. Each course floats on air, is fun, made us smile and tantalized taste buds. The wine is perfectly matched with the cuisine, while at the same time being tailored to individual choice. The atmosphere is discreet and private while attentive and personal. An incredible team creating a memorable, local food and wine experience. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again soon.

Some reviews can be rather short. We had twice an excellent diner in restaurant Du Nord in Noorbeek. We could dine in the garden which has a great provence atmosphere, making you feel in France. The menu shows a range local quality products such as the meat and cheese. The prices are midrange but the quality and atmosphere is top-notch!
The hosting by Hannalore, Marc and staff is extra-ordinary. This restaurant is worth while making a very big detour.

We had previously stayed here 3 years ago and enjoyed the food then. The repeat experience was no disappointment. Friendly service, nice choice of wines and an amazing menu, based on a South African theme with spring bok and other unusual meats. The food just melted on the toungue. Normal meats / fish are also on the menu fo rhte less adventerous. We will go back next time we are in the area.

Quite ofgten we go to this wonderful town in the deep south of the Netherlands, however for reasons unknown we neglected this hotel-restaurant, formerly known as "La Bonne Auberge" for over twenty years... The setting is still the same, it seems to be a kind of nature reserve as far as the eye can see, as nothing has changed, at least around the building. "Slenakervallei" changed, of course, the interiordesign, cut down on major and big names on the winelist, simplified the menu to common sense food (in the old days this place struggled to get stars and toques, but in vain). The food attracts a wider clientele, is pricewise far more abbordable (as are the wines). A good bet to have dinner or lunch while passing by. However if you're staying here as a hotel-guest I can imagine you run out of gourmet options on the menu soon. We had good starters and mains, the sweets rather cater for people who want to keep it simple and normal. Slightly overpriced for what you get, but then again it ain't expensive in the first place. So, don't worry go inside and dine.

For us always a place to come back, sometimes just to drink something and enjoy the view sometimes for diner or lunch.
The food is typically "Limburgs" with an international touch. The food is great and the staff friendly. A nice place to start & end your walkings in the forrest.

Very friendly multilingual staff, nice dining room, beautiful location but I'd recommend using GPS to get there. The kitchen offers quite traditional food, but is is well prepared and presented. I'd hope they would continue innovating, and I'll certainly return.

A welcoming restaurant and bar in the middle of the woods. Food is mainly wild game, rich and tasty. Log fires and wood burning stoves. There is no type of cuisine in your list to describe the type of food. 'Artisan' or 'Rustic' springs to mind. Perhaps you should add them to the list.

The restaurant style is ok, but the menu is very limited and the food not that great for quite a high price for the stuff you get. Nice terras in the summer. I would suggest, just go there for a drink and a small bite, but no main course
