A profiterole, cream puff, or choux à la crème is a filled French choux pastry ball with a typically sweet filling of whipped cream, pastry cream, custard, or ice cream.
This restaurant offers the best profiterole that I have ever had. By the way, I am located in Istanbul, and I have not found as good as this one.

I had never tried Künefe before, but I was told this is one of the best places in Turkey to try this incredible dessert. It's made of soft, creamy cheese doused in syrup and crumbled pistachio nuts. This dish is also sometimes called Kanafeh and is made by taking a portion of semolina dough and heating it up in butter and spreading over a soft white cheese, such as Nabulsi, then covering it with more dough. A thick syrup of sugar, water and a few drops of rose water or orange blossom water is poured on the dessert during the final minutes of cooking. As a garnish, crushed pistachios are sprinkled on top. This dish is a real taste of Turkey, however it is incredibly rich and filling. I suggest you go on a long walk around Mersin and explore the fascinating back streets first, to build up an appetite.

As being on the coastline and being close to other pubs and cafes location of Hatay Restaurant is perfect. IN idea, it is a kebab restaurant so do not have so high expectations. Their kabab is not the best but it is above the average (really above); they serve alcoholic bevarages it is a huge plus of them. Their side dishes and apetizers are diverse and delicious. But! keep in mind that this restaurant is really expensive. It is a nice place to host special guests with traditional Turkish food and drinks.

I was introduced to (pistachio) Kerebic from Kerebicci Oguz by locals and I was amazed by it. I'm usually not a fan of desserts, but I fall in love with this one despite the higher price which is actually very fair because of the pistachio price in general. I've never ate any comparable dessert in my life and whenever I have the chance to go to Mersin, I'm having some Kerebic, it is always great again. So sad to find this amazing food just in the Mersin region. What is interesting about Kerebic besides the taste is the production process of the white cream, which is according to my information unique. People told me it is produced without additional sugar/proteins/starch and just made of the root of a special plant. It is unique in taste and even better with cinnamon on top, which is optional to have.
I highly recommend to try this dessert to every visitor of Mersin, even the ones (like me initially) who are no big fans of desserts! Kerebicci Oguz should be the best address according to my knowledge and there was never a reason for me to try out others.
