Nice garden atmosphere, with big picnic tables and oodles of beer and authentic Bavarian food. This is a place of big dumplings and lotsa pork! It's your quintessential beer garden experience, what's not to like?
Plus the sign outside the buildings bills it as a brewery and church! gotta love it just for that.

My family visited here after a long day visiting the Berchtesgaden area. The food was delicious and the service was great. Prices were reasonable. We would have loved to sit outside but the restaurant was so popular that there were no available tables.

The "Einkehr" Pizzeria is located directly in the pedestrian zone in Berchtesgaden. Why not enjoy a crispy pizza or a delicious pasta dish while appreciating the modern, Mediterranean ambiance? In the restaurant you can enjoy your espresso, cappuccino or red wine in summer and in winter on our Terrace. In winter, the Terrace invites you for a cuddly shoping break. In summer, enjoy a shady spot overlooking the busy pedestrian area of Berchtesgaden.
We sat outdoors under the umbrellas watching a downpour of summer rain. Did not order pizza, but the schnitzel was good and the hamburger over the top elaborate and very tasty fries.

We stopped for a quick lunch, before we hiked to Obersee. Were very pleasantly surprised! Especially me... it can be difficult finding vegetarian food at small German restaurants. We both loved our meals! I had a cauliflower/cheese pattie and potatoes. Perfect! Food was tasty and hot. Good beer. The views of the lake and Mountains are amazing! Clean location, including the bathrooms.

I would eat at the Saletalm (continue on the boat till the other side of the lake) but when the boat stops at Bartholoma, ask for one fish plate for your group at least just to try...really impressive! I am half german and have had this in so many places and this is by far the best

We were staying in a nearby hotel and saw this restaurant by accident whilst driving past. Later that evening we decided to eat there and we were not disappointed. It is about 5 – 10 minutes walk from the ‘Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden’.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant was really nice, quite busy and very friendly staff. Not all of the personnel spoke English, but one particular waitress did, so we had no problems asking about the menu. All of the waitresses were dressed in local Bavarian costume, which gave the restaurant a real local feel (especially to us as tourists).
There is a good choice on the menu and our food was exceptionally good, very tasty and served well.
Our total experience was very good and so we reserved a table for the following evening aswell. Our second evening there was also very good and again without any disappointment. This is a really nice place to eat in, with local cuisine and I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting or staying in Schönau am Königssee.

One of Berchtesgaden's culinary and visual highlights - the Panorama Restaurant - is located on the sixth floor of the Edelweiss. Here, you can enjoy the combination of haute cuisine and unique atmosphere while admiring the spectacular view of the Watzmann and the Bavarian Alps. Through the glass facade of the Panorama restaurant you have unobstructed views of the Mountains of Berchtesgaden while eating, drinking and enjoying. In spring and summer we gladly serve you on the roof Terrace from which you also have a 360 degree view of the Mountains.
We enjoyed a plate of bratwurst and sauerkraut in the early afternoon on the comfortable Terrace overlooking the buzzing village square. Our visual entertainment was provided by an elderly, and seemingly map-befuddled, ladies walking club; some solid-looking local worthies in lederhosen and vernacular Bavarian jackets; and various other nationalities enjoying themselves. The prices were reasonable and the service efficient. Recommended.

Those were my husband's words when we finished our lunch/snack here at St. Bartholomae. Great place to interact with other travelers as well. Bring your appetite on the boat tour!
