Seespitz - the lakeside restaurant The restaurant Seespitz is situated directly on the lakeshore. It does not only provide a culinary delight but also grants a breathtaking view over the Mountains and the beautiful Worthersee. On offer is a fresh and light a la carte cuisine from the Alps-Adriatic region, prepared with an individual touch. After a complete redesign the restaurant Seespitz is open from 1st June until the end of September exclusively for our hotel guests.
The place is very well known and can't be missed, it belongs to the famous Schloss Velden Hotel. Across the street from the hotel, it is a bit over priced, but the overall experience makes up for it, it's a very trendy place, the food is very very good but not great, when we walked in, they asked us if we wanted to eat or just drink something, apparently they have a place if you only want to hang out and have some drinks, but the real enjoyment comes with having to eat, the table is literally On the lake.. I would recommend it to others yes, but not if you were on a budget.

This is a proper gourmet restaurant. We travel all the time and love our food - and can say this is a proper restaurant.
It's not just that the food is of high quality, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, but the service is attentive and professional.

We were glad we came here for dinner on our last night.
Excellent food and extensive wine list with prices to match. The wine list offers a good choice of Austrian wines, ask for help from the sommelier if you're not sure what to take. The service is very friendly and professional and we specifically loved the cheese selection!
The restaurant is very romantic and offers Austrian cuisine that is far from all the other "tourist" fare that you find in most places
The ingredients were of excellent quality and service was very good, but rather expensive (certainly compared to other places in Austria).

We visited this lovely restaurant twice during a short holiday in Reifnitz. Beautiful views from the hills above Keutschach. Friendly, attentive staff; delicious food in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The owner (and his elderly father) made a point of greeting and warmly welcoming us on both occasions. Our only disappointment was on one visit one dessert was a little dry - which they apologised for & gave the whole table a complimentary after dinner drink.

Right in the centre of Velden (on the SeeCorso, the boulevard along the Woerther See) you'll find Restaurant Pavillon. Great menucard with a lot of choice, friendly and helpfull staff and a very rewarding winecard. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but the quality makes it worthwhile.

Fresh, uncomplicated meals by day (Lunch am Tag) exquisite steaks, salad and antipasti and wine by night (Steakhaus)
Was there twice during our visit and had stake, lamb and surf&turf. All were absolutely top notch. There is an abundant salad bar where everyone can find a good choice of delicious appetisers and side dishes. Service was very fast. During holiday season, in the evening hours a reservation is advisable. Prices are high.

We live in Portschach am Worthersee so have visited this restaurant a few times. It has a lovely view. Food is very good and the lunch special is incredibly good value for money.

It's pretty difficult to get a table here, and most tables are reserved. The staff were friendly and although there were no outside tables left, they did relocate us, just as soon as one became available. We all chose various pizza's and we were not disappointed. They are beautifully authentic Italian, with lovely fresh flavours. The ambiance is nice and we had a great evening meal here. Recommended, and I'll be visiting again in future.

Four of us dined on a busy holiday after selecting this place from Tripadvisor and, independently, having it recommended by our hotel owner. We were not disappointed. Service is focused. How such young people can be so professional, well, let's just say I'm not used to this in California.
The dishes we ordered were, mostly, flawlessly executed. Soup is usually a good indicator of the quality of a kitchen and the two our group tried were beyond excellent. Two small quibbles...the best lake view tables were in the smoking section. We felt non smokers were more deserving. And the vegetables over which my fish was served were way over cooked and heavy with olive oil or butter.
Don't try to walk here from Velden proper...too hilly and far.

I know this place since decades and I always loved it for the delicious pastries. Their secret is that everything is made the traditional way, which means with butter. Ok, you should not be on diet when you go there, but it is really worth it. You have to try the apricot cake which is one of their specialties - fantastic!!!
Service is good - not very experienced stuff, but ok. Atmosphere is nothing special, there are nice places around the lake.
