A charming fishing village, Sayulita is a hidden gem with picturesque beaches, charming restaurants and great food. Unlike some other Mexican towns, tourists mingle with locals in a relaxed atmosphere, without the hustle and bustle of major touristy resorts. For those seeking more nightlife, Puerto Vallarta is a mere 30 minutes away.

An absolutely wonderful place to have dinner, never disappoints!
Been to Tierra Viva many, many times; the food is consistently delicious; waiters get your order right - ALWAYS, which is rare in this town :D; they are inventive with their specials; best price on artisanal beers in all Sayulita; nice ambiance, great seafood, yummy salads, rosemary potatoes are my addiction, and tried mocha coffee recently - as a former barista, I take my hat off. WOW! Simply want to say Gracias to all those who make this restaurant... well, The Restaurant.
Oh, and during breakfast/lunch time, you get to interact with iguanas that come to say hi from the roof :)

I have to laugh while writing this review , , , the questions is: Where do you go and eat breakfast in Sayulita if you don't want Traditional Mexican Food or Scrambled eggs . . just Great Coffee and a Croissant . . . European -style breakfast ? Well the answer is simple: You go to Panino's. We discovered this after walking around for 2 hours trying to find a breakfast nook . . and ended up having breakfast here for 2 weeks while on holiday in Sayulita. And we loved every meal they served every morning, the server got to know us & we were spoiled every morning with great coffee and great service. Thank you everyone, you helped to made our holiday memorable !

Located in the small surf town of Sayulita, Burrito Revolution is one - if not the best - place to eat among all of the various little restaurants around town. The sauces are delicious and the little Revolution chalkboard full of fun little jabs at American Politics is hilarious!

Los tacos mas chicos de Sayulita!!
This place has as many variations of tacos as any in Sayulita. The shrimp tacos and tuna tacos were superb and the average person cannot eat more than 2 total. Just sitting outside in front of the place and see the street teaming with people and golf carts is a great way to pass the day.

Choco Banana is right in the town center...I'm a bit of a Huevos Rancheros nut and it's interesting how differently different places prepare it. Choco Banana, has the best Huevos Rancheros I've had since I've been down here...and the best I've had in a long time anywhere!
We went here to have out last breakfast in Sayulita.. What a disappointment it was..
Food was already pre-cooked..
Toasted bread was so dry the birds probably wouldn't even touch it, bacon tasted like yesterday..
Service was less than average, more than once they forgot our drinks and the burritos con pavo... That pavo must have been the worst I've tried..
Giving it 2 starts might actually be gentle..

Juice and health bar.
Orangy was our first stop after getting off this bus and heading into town. Everyone had a great juice to start our day at the beach. We will return on the next Sayulita trip.

Nuevo restaurante en sayulita por calle revolucion y niños heroes
Rats, why didn't we try the Tequila? After Reading reviews, I see that the Tequila is smooth and "home-made". Well, we still have a few days left before we leave! We stopped for a late dinner and sat at a street-side table. My husband enjoyed his Chile rellenos and our son and I really liked our shrimp quesadillas; they had a rich, garlicky flavor. Our son thought the guacamole was the best in Sayulita so far this trip. The service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. When we asked for a doggy-bag for the gaucamole they gave us a whole bag of totopos to go with it. Thank you.

Once I found this place I had to go back at least once a day. It's cheap and has a huge variety of paletas and ice cream. Flavors range from vanilla to celery/cucumber/walnut/pineapple. The highlight for me was the coco cream paleta. Amazing !

Even though the place was not so Mexican I really love how they use Mexican ingredients in a more European and modern way. Fruit salads, eggs and bacon, croissants, espresso and cappuccino... but also agua de Jamaica, avocado and the inevitable chili pepper. A really...MoreYes! A perfect mix with no borders! We are 100% mexican with open minds and open eyes! Thank you for sharing this great review, its very helpful for us to other people get to know us! Hope to see you again!

Mary's has authentic Mexican food and always delivers. The speciality tacos were amazing, however the couple next to us ordered a shrimp platter and had me second guessing what I ordered. The couple were from Texas and were now living in Sayulita. They said Mary's has always been their favorite... and we could see why! We got a table right away, but it was like 6pm.... we were lucky. It filled very fast and seemed to have a wait most nights. Good sign!
