This was very different and a unique experience. Really pushes your comfort zone. Not something we would do again because we’ve already done it and checked off the list. The guides were funny and helpful. The laundry shoot was amazing. Recommend it to others

This is a popular day hike w/ lots of incline and scenic views of Canmore and the Bow Valley w/ a nice gem of a reward at the end—aquamarine coloured mountain pools. Great for families and young and old alike. Be aware of possible wildlife and loose gravel on the paths. Word of advice. Don’t go on super hot days like we did.

Healthy, active 55+ family members completed Ha Ling in 2.5 hours up, 2 hours down without hiking poles. The hiking poles make the scree easier. Go to the thrift shop for $4 ski poles if you are not a lover of climbing down loose rock. We loved being on top of a ridge with two very different valley views. The "stair-master" hike was was the buck we paid for the bang. Worth it.

It's a bit of a drive to get to the lake but the trip is worth it. There are several free parking lots that had many places available on the late summer afternoon during our visit. I can imagine on a July or August weekend - the place might be crazy busy!
Walk to the lake's edge and just stand and enjoy. Or get energetic and walk the top of the damn and see the lake from different perspectives.
There are no services here (though there's a general store not so many km away) so bring your picnic with you.
Leave the Upper Kan lake and turn left to visit the Lower Kan lake which is totally different - being long and much more narrow.

Created for the 1988 Winter Olympics, this ski area offers many expert trails.
We rented snowshoes from the Canmore nordic centre and snowshoed on the trails around there. Lots of fun! Trail was beautiful. Nordic centre is a great facility. Downside - my snowshoes kept falling off - I have snowshoed before with different snowshoes and not had that issue. Also, the trail was well used and hard packed snow so not there was less of the fluffy, off trail powder that I prefer.

The walk is easy and doable for everyone. It leads through a lovely creek, lots of plants and trees and some wildlife (squirrels etc.). A nice little walk for an afternoon.

Quarry lake was beautiful. When I visited there were lots of people! The views around the lake are stunning. It was the perfect spot for our Sunday Picnic and a swim!

I attempted this hike in the summer and had to turn back due to the mosquitoes being very bad. I went back after the first snowfall and wasn’t disappointed! The hike is easy for all levels. Well marked with lots of beautiful cliff fronts to see. The pictographs can be missed easily and we only found them because I stopped to write in the snow lol. A small cave to the right of the falls and you can keep going on a backcountry trail to the left. A must do. Can’t say enough how beautiful the scenery is.

Come visit our state-of-the-craft brewery located just off the Trans Canada Highway in the town of Canmore. Stop in for Tastings and Retail shopping. Cheers!
A group of us were out for a Stagette and arranged for a tour. The staff were amazing. We were quite "outgoing" and they just rolled with the punches. We learned all about the company and their products too haha. They have an amazing space...MoreHi Kemms12. Im Glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for coming in to the brewery and hanging with me. P.S Maybe if I was a few kgs lighter Id happily jump on the pyramid.
