Bistro 1882 is a casual Okotoks restaurant, 10 minutes south of Calgary
Hadn't been here in years and was hesitant t go because I'd remembered it being quite expensive. We went at lunch time this past weekend, and the lunch menu is quite average pricing, but there was nothing average about the food. My fiance and I each had a panini and soup. Both sandwiches were amazing - fabulous flavours! I also enjoyed the creme brulee. The owner is lovely and made time to talk with each table. We will definitely be back!!! In fact, I had to convince my fiance that we probably shouldn't go back for dinner on that same night.

The George Traditional House was built in 2005 and has been a community favorite in Okotoks ever since. Here at the George we are a family, from our management to our cooks and servers, and when you walk through our doors we want you to become a part of our family as well. We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed - filled with the warmth and laughter that fills our house. Whether you are looking to come for a relaxing meal with your loved ones, coming in to watch the game with your friends, or celebrating a special occasion with those closest to you, always remember one thing
It is lunch time and my In-laws take us to their favourite watering hole. the decor is traditional pub with that pre-packaged decor feeling. There are 2 sides one pure testosterone and the other more family friendly. The TV's are visible from anywhere; you just can't miss your game even if you wanted to. Now for the menu; short and only slightly original. Unfortunately 2 of the dishes had really dry meat; so dry I almost choked trying to swallow. Why did the chef not inspect the dishes as they left the kitchen? Maybe the meals were like the decor; pre-packaged.

Decided to come to this restaurant because it was recommended by a friend, saying this was a good Japanese restaurant and we were around the area after hiking nearby. Portion was comparatively big. Raw fish was very so-so, not super fresh. Assorted sushi and sashimi was just salmon and white tuna and cooked shrimp, no other raw seafood, e.g. squid, hamachi, raw shrimp. They had done a pretty good job in deep frying. Crunchy and not greasy. The deep fried soft crab sushi roll was put on top of the sushi roll instead of inside, lazy job. The deep fried spicy tofu was huge and the nice thing was they cut the tofu into smaller pieces. Not really fond of the idea of adding mayonnaise to grilled squid and didn't came with more traditional BBQ sauce. Overall, not a bad Japanese restaurant, but definitely doesn't worth to spend 45 minutes on the road (from the north of the city) to give that a try. If you are in the south, not a bad idea to give that a try to see if you like this restaurant.

When I first walked into the Saskatoon Farm restaurant, I thought I walk into an European establishment. The ceiling of the restaurant is amazing! The food is mostly Mexican oriented because the chef is Mexican. The food is very good and the service is pretty good too. If you happen to be in Calgary, drive south on Highway 2 toward Okotoks and watch for the Saskatoon Farm sign on the highway. The Farm is a great place to visit, you can u-pick berries and vegetables, excellent furniture store and bakery. Highly recommended when you are in southern Alberta, you won't be disappointed. And the Farm is open all year long, 9-5 daily.

We use to enjoy the food here and the staff is friendly and give prompt service. However the music is loud and when asked to turn it down the staff was very apologetic saying they have no control over it and head office actually programs it to get louder as the evening goes on.
If you want loud music and no visiting with your companions, then this is fine. However if you would like to enjoy a meal with conversation with friends this is not the place.

Fantastic lunch place in Okotoks. I visited Brown Sugar when it first opened and it was just meh but now wow they have improved. The soup was a lumber jack also know as hamburger soup it was excellent all homemade that day. With it we had the pizza on foccacia bread. Again it was excellent. Lots of veggies and very tasty. It was well priced at 8.95 for soup and pizza. The staff we friendly and let me try the soup before ordering. Will definitely go back. Recommend for all.

A great range of flavours greets you at Menchie's and all very healthy. A favourite with grandson who loves calling in after school. Perhaps not the cheapest place to call but grandchildren are worth it !!! A far better alternative than a burger restaurant !!!

The food arrived quickly after our order was taken; it looked great and tasted even better! With good-sized portions, we were unable to finish everything. The only thing preventing me from giving this an excellent rating was the service, which was rather lackluster and not overly friendly.
