the place serves typical german food that everything is salty and over cooked. Nothing to write home about. The owner sings for about 15 minutes started around 8:30ish, all part of the program. The decoration of the restaurant is very simply tasteful. Other than being curious about this place. Food wise, we much prefer its next door neighbor, the pub and live music Balkan food restaurant, Piano.

This hiking restaurant features unbeatable surroundings in a river valley, superb views in every season. The traditional German food is served hot and delicious by friendly costumed staff. English is spoken "a little." The potato salad is an awesome treat. Ask to have that instead of any other side dish. The Wiesenfeuer liqueur is amazing. Hours are limited. They are always busy.

During our stay in st Andreasberg we ate at Fischer twice. The Ukrainian soup i can especially recomand. The schnitzel plates are good and large, the hexenmix (or something similar, a spicy mix of meat and maize in a sauce with patatoes) is also very, very good. The athmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly and the prices tiny. But then this goes for all of Andreasberg.

A really nice Little hidden gem. A little bid off the main street there is this restaurant with all these German specialities. My husband and children both had deer and wild boar with dumplings. They were really excited, it was just good. Big portions and nice outside Seating!

We had breakfast at the Berliner Hof, but did not stay there. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The surroundings were a little worn out, but nice and clean. I think the owner collects coffee sets as those were just everywhere. The breakfast itself was average, nothing revolutionating, but there were eggs, coffee, chocolate, juice etc. and we got plenty of good advises for a nice stay.

Til prisen er det hyggeligt og god mad - så vidt vi ved typisk tysk, både indreting og menu. Salatbaren er ikke noget rart møde, men resten er fin. Betjeningen super hyggelig, selvom vores tjener kun talte tysk.

Die kleine Zauberwelt is a nice restaurant for families with kids. Food & service are ok. Little bit slow but nice. Schnitzel was good. Like in most German Family restaurants the portions are too big. Nice Pfalzwine served by the glass, no winelist availabe.

During nature walks on cold days, it is wonderful to find a warm and cosy place. You expect simple but decent food, a fair selection of drinks. However, when seeing the prices on the menu, your appetite suddenly shrinks considerably. And once the food is served, you totally loose your remaining appetite. I had a plain and simple bockwurst with a few shreds of salad by the side. The crown of this dish was the untoasted slice of toast! My friends had similar feelings about their respective dishes: a currywurst and a mixed salad. Very obviously the owner is taking advantage of the remote location, i.e. no competition anywhere near. For us, however, the consequence is not to come again.
