Nice variety of fish dishes, excellent sea food, good desserts. Lots of space, around 70 seats. Nice music. Good service, excellent location near the sea front.

Moved here after a terrible stay in Hotel Richelieu in the same resort.
What a world of difference. This hotel is clean, comfortable and very well staffed. Delightfully helpful receptionist took care of all our needs. Beautiful restaurant food and fantastic service. We will return ☺

This restaurant has a typical local crêperie menu with criées and galettes. There are some speciality galettes which are very tasty. The salads are like art on a plate! Very imaginative and tasty and by g portions. It's buzzy atmosphere and good service makes for a very pleasant meal. The tables have little pottery bowls on them in which they serve cidre (the traditional drink to accompany galettes).

Lovely restaurant. Nice décor. Friendly efficient staff. Excellent range of set menus - also in English if required. Cheapest menu had a wide choice of dishes and food was delicious. Beautifully presented and excellent value for money. This restaurant is Far superior restaurant to the ones nearer the Promenade. Highly recommended!

Specialities of the region, fish, eels, frogs legs and also beef filet. Fresh products, everything is prepared in the kitchen and made by the chef. Nice local traditionnal restaurant.
This is a charming restaurant in an old "Bourine". The present owners, Kathleen & David have maintained much of the old charme, as well as providing delicious food. David is an inspired chef, always producing new dishes which are of Michelin standard. As well as traditional Vendean dishes a further wide menu is offered catering for all tastes.Ingredients are sourced locally & in season. Making a choice can be difficult, it is all so tempting! There is also a comprehensive wine list.
You can be sure of a warm welcome from Kathleen, who speaks excellent English.
This is our first restaurant of choice in the area.

This is a cute little restaurant run by a young couple serving authentic local cuisine for a mid-range budget. The service was very personal and welcoming. The food was simple, yet creative and, especially, fresh and local. On the departmental road, but quiet inside. Easy...Morebonjour merci beaucoup d'avoir donner votre avis sur internet merci de vos bonnes critiques supers clients = bons moments merci

We ate outside with our 2 children. Nice sunny setting set back from road. Food was good, I had sole on the bone and my husband had a steak cooked perfectly. Nice wine recommended by waitress who was very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely meal on our last night in St. Jean de Monts.

Looking for somewhere for a chilled lunch in St Jean de Monts to suit the family's varied palates mid-way through a bike ride, Trip Advisor recommendations fortunately led us to Hissez O.
Left to our own devices, the unassuming frontage would probably have meant we passed by in favour of 1 of the numerous other restaurants lining the prom.
But the food was divine - from our fussy pre-teen daughter's croque monsieur (no restaurant earns 5 stars for a toasted Sandwich - but she was delighted!), to my succulent bucket of moules in a very tasty creamy roquefort broth with perfect frites & green salad, to our pre-pre-teen son's gorgeous goats cheese toast salad with beautifully crispy pork belly ... to my wife's luscious prawn risotto, which was simply divine, with huge juicy prawns and a creamy texture & flavour!! All washed down with a crisp & refreshing carafe of Provence rose at a decent price.
We also shared some lovely desserts - our daughter's baked chocolate fondant was cooked just right - and I loved the French toast brioche with chocolate sauce & vanilla ice cream, although my wife found it slightly under-cooked in the middle for her. The gratuit amuse bouche at the start was a nice touch, if nothing to rave about.
Service was excellent (except for the 1 waitress who seemed to be having a bad day - fortunately covered for by her colleagues) - very attentive & friendly, and patient with & encouraging of our hit-&-miss attempts to communicate in French.
Highly recommend for a lazy family lunch just back from the sea-front!!

Visited here with family and wasn't disappointed, lovely tasty food and generous portions. Couldn't believe the size of the profiteroles which were incredible. Family of 5 had a main course each, side of chips, 4 puddings, soft drinks and a bottle of wine was just over €100. So all in all well worth a visit - daughters want to go again in August for their birthday when we are back in this area!! Don't get a better recommendation than from a child!!!!
