Pretty spot outside near the waterfall, with good lunch menu and drinks at fair prices. Pizzas perhaps a liitle large for lunch, but salads excellent.

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel that we booked online not knowing what to expect! To our surprise, the Hotel Staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one! The breakfast buffet was very nicely done and they had a very wide selection.
The minor issues that we had was our room was facing a main street and it was next to the train station, so you can imagine...it was loud! If you want quiet please be sure to ask to face the other direction (facing the burg). They really have a beautiful view and Terrace! The Hotel room was a bit hot, but all in all very spacious and comfortable. We really had a fantastic time there as hiking was our goal. We will stay in the SAARHOTEL JUNGBLUT again, however, facing the burg.

Owner and chef Wolfgang presents an excellent table with Michelin star quality food! Ably assisted by his wife in the front of house.
The dining room setting is elegant and overlooking the Saar river. The wine list offers a wide range of German white wines that call out for fish to enjoy with them, and the foie gras was some of the best I've eaten anywhere! There are other wines besides the excellent Moselle selection of you prefer.
We were there for Sunday lunch and were fortunate enough to have Wolfgang personally guide us through the menu selections.
This is the second visit (we discovered this gem on a trip through the area in 2007), and had to come back. We were not disappointed!!
Recommend without hesitation...

We ended up here by coincidence while cycling along the Saar. The terrasse is nice for people who cannot afford a fancy dinner inside the hotel or for people who like us who are cycling along the river and need something to eat. We had Flammekuchen and a salad and the food was ok, something you can expect in a place like this. What I mean, it is not to die for, but it was fresh and tasty. The waiters picked up our orders very quickly, but we had to wait a while for the Flammekuchen. People who had ordered salads got their food more quickly. Might be good to know if you are in a hurry. We can come back here for a lunch, or for a dinner at the hotel.

This is the home of the famous Saarburger Strudel. Seating outside gives wonderful views of the Wasserfall (waterfall) that runs through the middle of picturesque town
This tiny restaurant overlooking the waterfall in old Saarburg seats no more than a dozen people. It is usually elaborately decorated with seasonal displays. The menu is limited, but the food is good and the service outstanding. They serve a wonderful apple strudel complete with vanilla sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. There are a few outside tables where you can dine in the summer months overlooking the waterfall. Prices are very reasonable.

Not your average ice cream parlour- have different types of desserts and ice-cream, and make them with fun faces for kids. Reasonably priced although some ice creams are a bit more pricey. Kids were £3.50 each which wasn't bad! Good location next to river. Worth a visit

Our lunch was superb. We had the pizza with prosciutto and arugula. It was very delicious. We also had a cold plate of prosciutto, grissini, olives, and bread (along with a few other things). All was fresh and delicious. The setting was relaxing and the staff was very pleasant. (Not food related, but the restrooms were spotless.)

The evening menu featured beautifully prepared local cuisine. The service was excellent and the wine choices matched each course perfectly. ( thanks to the good advice to wait staff). The room is small and comfortable.
