No system for allocating tables when busy. We (family of 5) arrived and were told a table in the outside beer garden would be ready in about 10 minutes. Almost an hour later we were still waiting, and had stood watching while larger tables were being given to couples, leaving smaller tables which were not suitable for our group. Several times we were told that a table for us would be ready in about 5-10 minutes. Finally we were offered a table in another indoor area while a group arriving after us was given a table outside which would have suited us. All in all a chaotic and unpleasant experience. Would not recommend.

HOT AND COLD GOURMET BUFFET ALL'ITALIANA ANTICA At the "Antica Roma", you can feast like a denizen of ancient Rome: between the pillars of this elegant vaulted cellar, with drawings of heroic chariot races on the walls and a fire crackling in the stone fireplace adorned with a laurel wreath. On sunny days opt for outdoor Seating on the Piazza Roma for Mediterranean ambiance in abundance. You'll be regaled here with a hot and cold gourmet buffet of Italian cuisine. The assortment ranges from Italian country ham, spicy Milanese salami and market-fresh green salads to seasonal fish and meat specialities. For dessert you can choose between delectable pastries and an assortment of Italian cheeses with fig mustard and grapes. Every bit as authentic and tasty (!) as in old Rome.
The restaurant is beautiful and the whole setting of colours, lights, music and decor creates a whole different experience.
The 30 EUR adult buffet is in my opinion a good price for this type of place. Even though the menu is limited, it stills offers enough options to accommodate for different tastes and diets. There is an entrance buffet, a salad buffet, a dessert buffet, a meat buffet and a kids buffet.
I definitely recommend it

Came here at the end of the day for evening drinks (the Spanish bar were really crowded, the English one a bit rowdy and the German one only served up pretzels for nibbles), and appreciated a nice calm place to sit down and rest our weary feet, whilst being able to enjoy a beautiful view and above all, hear one another as we drank and chatted.
We started with a red wine (the German dry red was particularly good) and beer with nibble platters - an assortment of cold cuts and bread, and the price was reasonable for a theme park.
In fact, we liked it so much that we stayed on for dinner. Canteen-style, you can choose from an assortment of starters, including salads, and the pumpkin soup for Halloween at the moment is incredibly good. The main course meals were incredibly good value - I got half a chicken, and it came with vegetables and fries (I asked to swap out for more veg).
Do note, however, that they make you pay for condiments here, which was a cause for great unhappiness for some diners.
The desserts looked good, but we were too full by the end of our meals to fit those in, which was a shame.
If you want to have a proper sit-down meal that's not the standard fast food junk served at theme parks, in a pleasant dining environment overlooking the water, this is the place to eat. The prices are friendly on the wallet too.

MODERN AMERICAN FARE IN AN OLD-STYLE SETTING The pungent scent of gunpowder lingers in the air, the card sharps are cheating shamelessly at Texas hold 'em whilst some toughs at the bar are vying for the local beauty's favours and might even come to blows ... That's more or less how things went in saloons back in the heyday of the American Wild West - and is now at our "Silver Lake Saloon". The venue draws seasoned and greenhorn cowboys and Indians alike with hamburgers, barbecued spareribs and our Western fry-up. Our menu also offers salads, salmon and Turkey steaks for the squaws, as well as brownies and blueberry pancakes for dessert. Two red-letter days on the Wild West calendar are our Sunday country brunch with a spectacular lasso show and a Western shindig replete.
Wonderful way to start your day before hitting Europa Park. When we come to Camp Resort, we almost always have our breakfast in this Saloon. The breakfasts are FABULOUS. There is cereal, yogurt, fruit salad, breads, Sandwich meats, sliced cheeses, hashbrowns/rösti , scrambled eggs (with and without bacon bits in the egg), 3 types of juices, coffee, cocoa, lots of different jams, etc.
As for the Saloon, the attention to detail is astounding: there is a poker table with painted on cards on the table. There are funny signs all of the place. For example, one sign reads "Please don't shoot the piano player."
And Sheriff Euromouse always comes to meet & greet the children there for breakfast. Breakfast with Camp Resort accommodation I think is only about 5 Euros more/person, so I think it is a good deal.

The idea is great that the food is coming automatically in small trains but that's all. You wait at the line for 30 min, there is no AC inside and the food is just average and less. So skip it

INDULGENCE THE SPECIAL WAY: AT THE LIGHTHOUSE Ammolite is a rare and valuable opal-like organic gemstone; for it to form several factors have to appear at the same time and place. The fine dining restaurant “Ammolite” follows the same image. It has been created by the perfect mix of ambience and atmosphere, variety and high standards. Since November 2014 it also holds two Michelin star as the first theme park restaurant worldwide and a top rating from Gault Millau with 16 out of 20 points! Chef Peter Hagen captures every gourmet’s heart with his international cuisine that doesn’t lose touch with the regional fare. Restaurant manager Marco Gerlach will make sure to suggest the best suitable wine to go with it. We are excited to have created a special place with a gourmet cuisine and unique interior which makes the perfect setting for special events and extraordinary guests.
Didn't like the décor, so I will focus on the food. Great wine list, too. Excellent vegetarian options!!! Food was interesting for me who is much accustomed to eating in the French tradition. Lighter, fresher-tasting, really woke up my palate! I didn't like the dessert so much though. And the succulent breads... don't get me started on them... I dream of them at night.

SO MUCH MORE TO "SEA" - A TASTE SENSATION AND AN EXPERIENCE At "Harborside" - our maritime-design buffet restaurant - you can experience Colonial front cooking: fish, meat and vegetables will be prepared entirely to your taste and cooked right in front of you. How does it work? You simply select the ingredients you fancy from among all sorts of fresh delicacies from all over the world. Then we cook you a personalised meal on either an African lava stone or our big Mongolian grill - which makes dining a memorable experience. In the summer you can enjoy your colossal Colonialstyle meal outdoors on the spacious summer deck.
Nicely decorated as if it was somewhere up the coast in Maine, in front it has two vintage sailboats in an artificial pond and some fake seagulls which cry through loudspeakers. Ok, inside very nicely done, great attention to detail and professional and friendly staff. Buffet menu offers good selection including some nice seafoods. International cuisine with a bit of an Asian touch. We enjoyed the whole package, all together. Pricing-wise it is about 2-3x what you'd pay in establishments in this part of Germany, but then again, as part of the Europa Park infrastructure you see more quality, more details, and much higher prices. Acceptable if you are on a trip from Switzerland, too much if you come from Germany or France.

TYPICAL NEW England COASTAL CUISINE - EVERYTHING À LA CARTE If you've ever dreamed of dining on a classy ocean liner, you'll love the "Captain's Finest". This restaurant could easily be the captain's mess on the legendary Mayflower, on which the Pilgrim Fathers crossed the Atlantic bound for the New World back in the 17th century. Its wood-panelled ceiling gives it the authentic feel of an old oceangoing vessel. The Captain's Dinner features steaks from the American Midwest, Black Angus steak tartar, Maine lobster and New England tuna tartar. Enjoy these signature dishes at one of our cosy tables for two or four, or take one of the longer tables for larger parties. There's room for plenty more passengers in the summer out on our sun deck. Ship ahoy, sailors!
Upon arrival we found this as our dinner destination even though we were in the hotel next door. The service was great, although somewhat overwhelmed at the end. The food was very good, and was a decent value. Families will feel welcome. And it's not the standard "buffet" option in the other hotel restaurants so you get food as you like it and not off a steamer plate.

Rust Is a Lovely small pretty town which is very clean. Furthermore all the locals are so friendly and polite. The town is famous for its theme park: Europa park, which provides many tourists into the village. The bakeries, restaurants and shops are all great.

Really good German food, huge portions. Very friendly staff. They fill up quickly after Europa park closes at 7, best to try to get there before then and if you can make a reservation because all the restaurants are fully booked once europa park closes.
