I was there with my family (2 adults, 2 small daughters). We ate a pizza, pasta and meet salad. Everything was really good and tasteful. The service was, unfortunately, very bad. They completely forgot about one of our dishes, they brought us wrong wine, they messed up 1st and 2nd plate and they left us waiting for quite a long time.

Marricriu La Trattoria is located in Riposto in the province of Catania on the premises that the end of 800 housed one of the most important factories of barrels of time. Today, the tables and chairs have taken the place of those barrels, and while in the air will smell the fragrance of the good traditional Sicilian cuisine, good wine continues to be the thread that allows guests to rediscover smells and tastes perhaps now forgotten and that were once in everyday life.
We ate in an internal Terrace ... Really cute ... And food was outstanding !! Service was also nice and welcoming

“OLD BARRELS”: a place where the tradition of yesterday becomes tribute and sophistication in the present. The restaurant has a warm and relaxing atmosphere in which the dishes of our land are proposed and interpreted with ever new creativity although maintaining their original uniqueness. Our project aims to convey the flavor of traditional Sicilian cuisine, the wines of Etna and our gastronomic culture which includes a wide choice of pizza (leavened and baked slowly into the wood oven). You will be welcomed in a relaxing environment and you will be pampered by our staff, in a landscape unique, situated on the slopes of Etna, and able to offer you glimpses of extraordinary beauty, where time seems to stand still. The large green open spaces surrounded by orange trees, a large indoor restaurant and the lounge pizzeria from which you can admire the restored ancient winery that has preserved the original structure of the "Old Barrels", once used for the production of wine and finally a small rustic room of 20 seats, ideal for candlelight dinners and / or business lunches or dinners, are just waiting to welcome you with the typical warmth of Sicilians and their homeland.
We ate lunch here whilst on a tour of Sicily. The food was fabulous, and just kept coming! We ate wonderful Sicilian specialities and were really impressed by the quality of the food. The staff were really nice and helpful, the wine was good and I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant for an authentic experience.

The Borgo dell'Etna restaurant seats on a unique location on the slopes of Mt Etna. Hiding through the citrus groves of the riviera, the restaurant is part of the XVI Century estate of the Etna Hotel and offers traditional Sicilian dishes, served in multi level rooms of the refrebished authentic sicilian winery.
We had lunch on Sunday.
They serve lunch only on weekends. Dinner everyday.
We had Lindsalad, Bruschetta as antipasti, Pasta al Ragu as primi, calamari as second & creme caramel as desert. With bottle of sparkling water, glass of wine, a beer and coffe we paid 67€.
Everything we had was perfect, tasteful.
Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was nice and clean.
I strongly recommend this place.

Giovanni and his family run a modest and simple establishment, however the kitchen turns out fantastic food based only on fresh fish (only caught locally on the day) which is the envy of any multi-awarded fish restaurant. Based on local sicilian fare, which includes spectacular raw marinated seafood, every dish is incredibly tasty and fresh. As always in seafood restaurants, never order from the menu, but specifically state that you will have what is fresh from the fish market, prepared as suggested by the chef. The marinades may be overwhelming, so ask if you can have the raw seafood only lighly marinated. And the prices are close to half of more well-known restaurants in Sicily and one third of prices in Roma and Milan! NB "La Vecchia Posta" is in the process of moving to a new location and will re-open as of May 2012.

The restaurant, open to the public, consists of a set menu that changes every day. The restaurant offers traditional dishes of meat, fish and vegetables, accompanied by red and white Sicilian wines. Don't miss the parade of handmade rustic appetizers by chef "Tatta", and indulge yourself in the delightful bliss of flavors and fragrances of the entrée and main courses prepared by chef Michael with various ingredients of our land, including lemon, mint, almonds, seasonal vegetables. And then, enjoy a delicious homemade desserts. Pennisi family will welcome you and make you enjoy a warm environment that becomes instantly familiar. Gianni and Claudio will advice you a proper wine to match to your meal. Et voilà ... Buon appetito!

Ancient sicilian building with a wide garden around, about 180 seats indoor and 130 outdoor. Parking available
This lovely and charming place is the perfect gateway for a casual evening with the best of the Sicilian gastronomy. From the classic appetisers to pasta or the huge selection of pizza, you won't get disappointed. Service is very attentive and friendly. The Terrace in the green garden is the perfect set up for an excellent dinner despite you are with your family, friends or better half. The selection of wines and beers are affordable and you get a lot for the value.
Look forward to go back.

This is a great place to stay with many many positives. The rooms are a little basic but overall it's a place I would thoroughly recommend and stay at again. The pool area is great. Breakfast was superb. Staff attentive with nothing being too much trouble. We had a complimentary pick up from the airport within our suite which was trouble free. No bath in our room or drawers to unpack a few clothes but that's about all I can say on the negative side. I would recommend you hire a car which I did from the hotel. Again they were so accommodating. Sharon in particular. We much preferred this small oasis to the busy Taormina hotels.

Travelling around Sicily we stumbled on this amazing place. It was full with locals and mouth watering delights. The Pistachio granita would have to be the best I have eaten anywhere in Italy. Topped with fresh cream and eaten with a brioche was a true Sicilian experience. All this for just 2.50 euros .... unbelievable!
