Came in on a Thursday evening. Busy but not over flowing. It seemed confusing at the entrance with a door person, someone taking your name and 5 other staff. Just too many people in this small area. Once seated everything great. Great service and food....MoreHi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We are happy to hear the food was great during your visit and hope you join us again soon. Cheers, Amy Johnson Manager Cactus Club Cafe Richmond Centre

This place deserve 5 stars for consistency! The food is always good and the atmosphere usually great. We've come here for business lunches, family suppers and group events for celebrations. During the week they have dinner specials that are good quality and good value, and in the weekday evenings they have a courtesy shuttle that makes it easy to bring groups over from the hotel, or simply for locals to not have to worry about drinking and driving. On weekends once the DJ gets going it is very noisy - possibly to attract young dancers? - but frankly they should tone it down a bit so people can chat. We stopped in on the way home from a movie and although the main menu was finished, they were offering 2 for 1 appetizers after 9 PM. Mmmm - a good time to go for the moules et frites.

I like good and cheap pizza. I usually do a little bit of price comparison geometry, by dividing the price by the radius squared, to find the best priced size of pizza. I couldn't do that at Steveston Pizza. They only serve one 12" sized pizzas. At $25 each, the pizza was not cheap. They have a fancy loaded pizza with lobster priced at $180!
I have passed by Steveston Pizza many times, but had never tried it. It looks like a take out place. When you walk in, there is a small order counter and a pizza oven in the back. There is a small narrow table in front of the window and only two stools. Usually there was a line-up out the door. It never appealed to me or my wife or friends to dine there.
On this occassion, I was in the neighbourhood on my own for lunch, so i decided to try it out. I thought i could order a couple of pizza slices. When i found out that i could only order a 12" and at $25, i was silently shocked. (There are a few plain pizzas at a lower price, but they did not sound very special or appealing to me.) Anyways, I was there, was hungry and I am always willing to give anything a try.
I asked for a suggestion and when i said i preferred meat, the (Chinese) cook Tony suggested the "Caveman". I was told it would take 15 minutes and was informed that I could wait in the place next door which was also part of the establishment. Next door contained a long table and chairs, some window Seating and a single shared restroom. There was a water cooler, paper plates, cups, utensils and napkins. No server. Not fancy, but still a casual place to eat out of the rain.
Fifteen minutes later, I came back and picked up the pizza. It was good. The crust was thin and initially crispy. Eventually the juices made the crust soggy. The meat topping was chopped into small chunks and piled high. And it was piping hot. It was very good and filling. I only ate about a third and was stuffed. I took the rest home and shared it with my son that night for dinner. Not cheap pizza, but very good for the price.
Tony told me they sell a lot of the $180 lobster pizza, especially to the local Chinese. He said that 12" pizza is piled high with seafood and mashed potatoes and can feed four. Spending close to $200 on a pizza goes against my normal nature, but if I can find a few people to share, i will have to try it.

Conveniently located to the airport hotel we were staying in. Everyone liked their food, especially the pizzas. Calamari appetizer was not the best or worst I’ve had. The pasta portions are huge, too big! The service was really fast, maybe a bit too fast. Overall I would return.

Don't let the "diner" appearance fool you! The food is excellent. There is no view, the decor is tired BUT it delivers the BEST fish & chips around!

My years of service in Richmond, price increase a lot due to inflation. They serve good tasty food with deep flavor. Sitting hall is comfort with soft ambient light. Friendly service.
I like there dumpling with soup, fine shell filled with lot of delicious soup. The sesame cake with pork is the best I found so far in great Vancouver, crispy like eggshell with fascinate presentation. The Hu Diao chicken is below average, flavor of wine is not outstanding. If you like Shanghainese cuisine but not too greasy, this location is a very good choice.

My quinoa salad was superb. My husband had a halibut burger which he also enjoyed. Our server was very good. I had a lovely glass (9oz) of Malbec — overall a great meal. We will be back!

Our menu will have you wondering if you're at home or on the road, and our wide selection of locals wines, beer on tap, and spirits from around the world guarantees to offer something for everyone. Connect with colleagues and friends in the bar. The lively atmosphere, plasma-screen TVs and inviting courtyard patio will supply the perfect ending to a productive day. Every day for over 35 years, Mr. Harold Cross has been coming to our place for lunch. In fact, you may see him sitting at his usual spot by the window, greeting everyone by name, sharing a laugh and offering a warm smile. Our biggest fan and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, we couldn't think of a better name for our restaurant. See you tomorrow, Harold!
On the recomendation of friends we recently visited Harolds for a late breakfast/early lunch while killing time visiting between flights at nearby YVR. The place was not very busy, and service was quick and friendly. Some of our group selected items from the menu and others chose the buffet. Everything was good. and staff were not at all anxious to kick us out and the coffee refills kept coming while we sat and chatted.
