Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. For a break from surf and sand, saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains surrounding the city.

The kitchen opened early just for us. They normally start dinner at 8:00, but we eat much earlier. They seated us 45 minutes before their customary time. Very little English spoken here, but the servers did their utmost to communicate with us. I asked what one word meant, the server dissappeared for a couple of minutes, then brought me the translation: "aubergine". I had lamb, hubby had duck. The side dishes and relishes were worth the visit. Wonderful dessert.

As it's a hotel restaurant ( conrad) i didn't expect too much but i was wrong, very good ambiance, service excelent and the food came as a picture in a beautiful plate, and the most important, very good taste, dessert also, couvert eith excelent breads, nice and calm place with a good life piano player. It's not cheap but as we have gone to many terrible restaurants with the same price in punta del este, i deeply recomend this one. Worth every penny i've spent

We arrived some minutes after 11 pm, and the maitre told us we had to wait for 30 minutes. Then she told us the people at the table they were going to place us were having dessert; after 15 minutes that they had already asked for the check... We left the place 1 hour and 15 minutes after arriving.
Not the way clients should be treated!!!

Have had lunch at Miro on two occasions. On both, we were able to be seated on the beach side - facing the Atlantic. Service was excellent and provided by friendly staff. Great food for lunch.

This hotel restaurant is sorta beside the pool, they advertised a Peruvian menu special for the month of February, we've had the shrimp, steak and chicken Peruvian dinners, with wine, ever flowing, and dessert. It was very popular with the locals and us tourists.
Roosevelt road bills itself as "Gourmet" Boulevard, we have not and will not have time to test it maybe you will.
We did look at the regular menu but did not eat any, the wine was generally from Chile on the special.
We had a good time we came early and left before the normal dining time for the locals, so we had someone watching for our needs all the time.

Wow! This is THE place for a romantic and sophisticated dinner in Punta. Food was absolutely exquisite (and portions were generous for a French restaurant). We had the best cheese platter outside of France. Service was amazing and the staff speaks at least four languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese and French). Beware that it is an expensive restaurant, so make sure it will be unforgettable for the right reason (the experience) and not for the wrong one (the credit card bill).

I went there with my wife and some friends with not high expectations, the place is not in a commercial or trendy area in Maldonado city, from outside is like to see a "conventillo", but the experience by itself is unique.
Very warm and cozy place, with a great staff and fantastic food. The Brocoli Noquis and the Boar Chops delicious, we ask some Lamb Empanadas and Sea Food Tatar that were very tasty too.
If you are in punta thinking to try something different, you have to try this place. Remember that they do not take Reservations, so you should go as early as you can.

We picked this restaurant because of the ratings and a personal recommendation. What we found was an overpriced restaurant with average food. The grilled whole fish was boring and under-seasoned. The octopus was overcooked and overwhelmed with paprika. The waiter was a salesman. While it might be unfair to judge on one visit, it would be hard to recommend this restaurant.

A hidden gem.Wonderful food in the middle of nowhere. It is typically a Punta del Este restaurant.
Even I that been going there what seems forever, sometimes it is hard do find. But do trust me it is worth every time.A must go.
The chipirones acebollados is the best thing to get started,
Forget the pizza, they are wonderful, do ask for a plate like the raviolones I guarantee you won't be disappointed .
Make reservation it is always full of incredible good looking argentinians.

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The gnocchi were dense and drowned in cheese but tasted ok. The Chivito was ok too, but not better than average, and the prices were quite steep for such simple fare.
