We ate here a couple of nights ago, lovely local cuisine with a great host. You can tell they really care about the food, their homemade liquiers and everything else that goes with running your own restaurant. Food was lovely, the only dish we didn't like was the panna cotta, which had an almond flavour through it, neither of us like almonds, I'm sure it didn't mentioned it on the menu. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

What a great experience to dine at a place where everybody loves food and cultivates traditional dishes: simple, delicious, made with the best ingredients.
Fabrizio is a person who loves to serve customers with the fantastic food that Nicoletta prepares in the kitchen.
Thank you for an exceptional experience.

This is one of Dolceacqua's best restaurants for sure...our B & B recommended it and we had already read a few reviews so went with high hopes...a great experience for us as no English spoken by them and no Italian by us so we communicated in French and had a wonderful dinner with many a laugh with the very efficient and friendly staff.
This is no pizzeria or for anyone on a tight budget...menus were compact but the dishes were beautifully presented and freshly prepared offering good choice of fish, meat and of course risottos and pasta based dishes...everything we ordered was delicious and the local wine recommended by our waiter was also very good indeed and very reasonably priced for a restaurant of this quality.
Need to think about paying around 80 euros for 2 including drinks so about double what you would pay at a Pizzeria or family style establishment ( of which there are enough in the village ) but I could not fault the meal we enjoyed there and would most certainly return on any future visit to this area.

This little village is beautiful and this restaurant has a great location. The food isn't the best in my opinion, however the atmosphere is perfect. Be careful for mosquitos, there are a lot of them! We have dinner here every time we visit apricale.

Great restaurant and worth every penny. Great ambience in spite of it not looking as though it would be special. Food was excellent.

I was taken here by an Italian friend and had one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The restaurant is situated in a picturesque hilltop village and is family run. The husband of the chef does front of house and was extremely welcoming. He explained each of the dishes to us (there were MANY!) and we drank wine made from his own vineyards. We had nine small starters to begin....served three at a time, each totally original. Many of the things I had never tasted before (one I remember was tempura of elderflowers) and all were delicious. This was followed by a tasting plate with 3 different types of pasta and then came the main course...which not all of us were able to eat (we knew there was dessert to follow!!) but those who did found delicious. The meal was incredibly cheap...about €30 a head. This is a place not to miss if you are in the area.

Our hotel restaurant was opened in 1897 by the Great-Grandmother Rosetta on the day of Pentecost. Since then, generations have alternated in the conduct of the room.We offer a daily local cuisine, using the raw materials that come from the family farm The "Tenuta di Meregone." Extra virgin olive oil to flavor our dishes taggiasca annafiandoli with our Ormeasco Pornassio, full-bodied wine and genuine. The menu changes every day depending on what is being harvested in our fields. Our kitchen can not be defined at zero distance, but at three miles, the same distance that separates us from our land. The dining room of the restaurant, like a small family museum, transfers the wealth of remains from the past. From old porcelain dishes to field tools, from the old gramophone to antique radios, pictures and documents in order to go back to a time that is no longer here. There is the cuisine though. That taste of good, which brings us back to the time when, happy children, we used to visit my grandmother in the countryside, has remained untouched . It is not difficult to make tasty dishes when you are not in a hurry; if every day, vegetables from our land, come to natural maturation, arrive on the shelves of the kitchen ... If you try to put your passion before all. When in winter the old American stove warms hands which are numb from the cold, memories of the stories of great-grandmother Chiarina come to mind: when in the morning, at five o'clock, around the stove, dozens of farmers and landowners fed on "Trippe accommodate con fagioli" (tripe with beans) or "Zimino di ceci” (chickpeas soup) or "Mesciuta di legumi” (mixed pulses), before stepping on the diligence, sitting on the mule or (more often) walking for hours to go to the hard work of the fields. Being here after all this time with the same commitment, certainly means not having disregarded the hopes of our ancestors, but above all, we have taken care of your needs for one hundred and fifteen years ... Our longevity is mainly due to the pleasure we feel when we meet your expectations.
I use to visit this restorant every time I visit Triora area, no matter whether it is a summer or wintertime. The owner is always there - full of dignity and at the same time wanting to please the client. I'd recommend vino di casa...MoreGood day and thanks for the nice words. I'm happy to see you were good in our restaurant At the next and greetings

I picked up lunch from here today, having stumbled across it the night before, when the queue was huge. The first thing to say is that everyone queuing seemed to speak italian which seems a good sign. I queued for about 30minutes. They offer a good selection of different burgers, focaccia, chips and I wasn't sure whether there was also pizzas as my italian is non existent. Burgers are between 2-3 euros and everything is cooked to order. The bread is excellent and not your typical burger bun. The three guys in the kitchen were rushing around like mad men!

An extraordinary friendly family farm which provided us with a memorable meal, comprising a cascade of local specialities: bruschetta, pizza, socca, a delicate courgette omelette, stuffed courgette, home cured ham, home made ravioli, beautiful pasta, and rabbit casserole, followed by a home made creme caramel. This all washed down with their own red and white wines, limoncello and coffee. What a feast!! Great value at around 30 euros a person.
The welcome was very warm, and all the family seem to get involved. All this with incomparable views down to the sea from their rustic garden.
This is an experience not to be missed! Set aside a good two to three hours.
Although remote, it is not difficult to find, neither is the road, although narrow, too daunting. Turn right across the new flat bridge as you drive in to Dolceaqua (sign posted car parks), drive down the slope past the tennis courts, then on up the little road for almost 20 minutes. It is then signposted down a rough track to your right.
