After viewing the ruins we had the delight of visiting Rotisserie Raurica and the pleasure of meeting Sylvia, the wonderful hostess of this restaurant. The service was impeccable. We both had the filet with vegetables and were very happy. There is a wine cellar below and the wine Sylvia recommended was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place for its decor, food, and service. We hope to return someday.

Food is good - large portions of hearty family-style food. Well cooked and very traditionally Swiss. The owner is very charming and the wait staff mostly so. They have Very cosy traditional surroundings and are family friendly with a kids menu and even have a change mat for babies upstairs.
The restaurant is popular so bookings are recommended. It is also possible to visit just for a drink, and if they are very busy, there is a central table that seems reserved for those just drinking.
Many staff speak English and those who don't get by well anyway. There is an outside terrasse in summer which is lovely. We visit Rebstock regularly.

We celebrated this year’s business Christmas dinner at the Osteria Tre.
The restaurant is about 25 minutes SE of Basel and easy to reach by car, though parking space is rare sometimes. Access with public transport is feasible however cumbersome.
There is a bar where we could have our apéros until the table was ready.
The restaurant was very full on a Tuesday night, everybody gathering for business Christmas dinners.
We had a 4 course special dinner menu by the Chef, which was really, really good. The service was very attentive and very nice as well. The menu came with a professional wine selection and some explanation.
Though this is not a cheap place to eat I really enjoyed being here.

Of course, not quite everything - there will still be the elegant and informal atmosphere, the excellent service and the high quality of the cuisine. But something different will be born. At the origin, with progress. At home, with sincerity. Tradition, with innovation. You will look for raclette, fondue and 'Kaseschnitte' here in vain. And despite this, it is still practically impossible to find a restaurant in Switzerland where the cuisine is more Swiss than with us - 100% Swiss.
I visited Restaurant Solbad last week for the second time. First time was last July and we were seated outside on the river Rhine. This time we were inside. We enjoyed excellent food and service. Even though we stayed beyond closing time there was no pressure for us to leave.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went here for a company evening out. The restaurant theme is fun and the food was really good. Service was good and Sam Adams beer was a welcome change to the usual. I'd recommend this restaurant for something different and fun and a good steak.

Third dinner in this wonderful restaurant - one of the really few places in Basel that actually delivers on the promise of inventive local cuisine!
Menu changes frequently and at least to me doesn't look nearly as good on paper - but just wait till your food arrives! Attention to every detail, freshest ingredients bursting with flavor and always impeccable wine suggestions.
Plus, unusually for Switzerland, the Chef has an amazing way with the veggies: I surprised myself by ordering a vegetarian main last night, only to be blown away by the variety of tastes & textures, which came together wonderfully in probably the best vegetarian dish I’ve ever tried!
I will be highly recommending it to all my friends, especially the vegetarians (who I feel are generally confined to some bland mush around here), and hope to be back soon :)

We was there for lunch with the Family.
It was a warm evening, we stayed in the yard and enjoyed the view. They have a playgarden for kids.
Our Dog get very fast some water for free.
The kids get some Siroop also for free.
The staff was very friendly and the meals came fast.
We had a lot and all was fresh, at the same time and taste delicious.
The staff was very friendly attentively.
The parking is free.
I recommend this restaurant and come again.

Visiting the Restaurant Landhof several times has been an excellent experience. A cosy place where you feel at home. A precious small restaurant with a changing art exhibition. Food is of excellent quality, with bio and demeter label. The presentation of the food is what one would expect in a gourmet restaurant, made with love and passion. And important to know, it is all prepared and served by trainees. It is the objective of the restaurant to provide an education for young people who have difficultiesto find a place to work or learn a profession. In the Restaurant Landhof they get a chance to develop their skills to a very high level and serve food of excellent quality as a highlight for the guests.

For the outside, you would not expect this isolated restaurant to be anything special but we were pleasantly surprised. There are two dining rooms with views out over the surrounding area with a very comfortable old-world ambiance (This was previously the Hydro-electric Power Station worker's canteen).
The service personnel and chef cook were very welcoming and we all ordered different menus but there was absolutely nothing to complain about-the food was first class. I had a wonderful pumpkin soup and was offered seconds. The winter salad was freshly prepared and a good size and the dressing was delicious. For main course I had the vegetarian ravioli with pine nuts and my dessert was with fresh fruit. Everything was nicely presented and importantly for me, made with fresh ingredients (i.e. no tinned fruit or vegetables). From the photos you can see how good it was!
Do call the restaurant as they are only open 17:00-24:00 Tuesdays-Saturdays so unless you are a group of around 20 people you can only eat in the evenings. Sundays they are open from 10:00 so lunch is then available. Everything is on the website which I have just added.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. This place is 200% better than the place on the bahnhofstrasse. The Döners are the best. Fresh veggies, tasty meat, and the sauce is wonderful. Nice that they do not drown the döner is the sauce. My family always comes here when we want to eat out!
