You'll need a car and an area map to reach Porto-Vecchio's beaches, where you'll find pure white sands lapped by brilliant turquoise water. The busy beaches are the top attraction in this port town, which travelers report hasn't yet been totally overrun by the tourist trade. Sample fresh seafood in the local restaurants, and plan a side trip south to the charming town of Bonifacio.

Went back to this mostly pizza restaurant especially to see the sunset. Unfortunately because of location you miss the sunset unless you get ther 45 minutes before it actually sets. We wanted to sit outside but bugs were everywhere. Best sunset was at our hotel right on time (Belevedere). Food is good. Sit inside!

I have visited this restaurant many times over the last 10 years or so, and the food is consistently very good. The restaurant has a superb sea view. I can recommend the brochettes de boeuf (beef kebabs) and the pizzas. Service is very friendly and brisk. Recommended.

Discreet restaurant in little street in the Old Town of Porto-Vecchio
We were turned away earlier in the week because we had not booked, so we made sure for our last night in Corsica.
We were seated in the upstairs Terrace which has stunning views over Porto Vecchio.
We shared a plate of local charcuterie for starters then I had the fillet of dorade which was perfect, it was served with a really interesting sweet red onion pickle and sticky rice with cheese.
For dessert I had the childhood memory of pain perdu which comprised of bed of poached pear with pain perdu accompanied by by candy floss ice cream and a salted caramel sauce. An absolute winner.
The service was really good and the waitress recommended a really nice bottle of Fiumiccicoli white wine which was dry but had a nice floral finish.
Everyone had a memorable meal.
Highly recommended.

Unless 3 km of the city center and nevertheless so far from to much people , from the crowd, and from the noise …On the road of the Beaches of Palombaggia, you will be surprised to find, on side of hill, this old transformed sheepfold changed into a restaurant.Romantic place, distant sight on the city, the virgin creeper climbing on old stones, adjacent kitchen garden, garden in front of sunset, everything in this atypical frame contributes to make of this restaurant a place of exception.Whom you are in couple, in family, or between friends, you can choose one of the numerous tables nicely separated on the ground by old stones.
Lovely place and lovely ambiance. If you are a dog lover you will love Gusto the smashing puppy who lives there. We both had fish soup starter which was very good. My partner had wild boar stew - also excellent. Unfortunately my fillet steak in mushroom cream sauce was stone cold, as was everything on my plate. I decided not to return it due to the lack of staff - they were very busy serving other tables (which were all full). There was a long wait between courses and the bill took a long time to come, as noted by previous reviewers. Cash only was not a problem, as we knew about it beforehand. Quite expensive - we paid 90 Euros for 2 starters, 2 mains and a couple of drinks. Only real issue was lack of staff, otherwise nice.

The location and the view are splendid. The menu is quite tradtional, as overpriced as everything in the area. Quality is very good, there is a true attempt to show love for good food but one would expect more creativity and more generous portions for this price. The service is courteous and friendly but why is it so slow up to the bill which took 20 min to appear! This in itself is a killer and the place not being a bargain either more staff or more efficiency are urgently needed

Stayed here fairly at the end of the season, so everything should rather be regarded under the focus, what is still done then. And we can clearly say: we were very well received. Friendly personnel, excellent dinner (home cooked wild boar). Although there were only four guests, all this effort was made. Also the lunch packages were delicious. Only small down points: yes, the price - compared to other gites, but it is the only thing around, so they can. And maybe a bit the tidiness. Bath/shower gel in the room were a very nice gesture though, as hikers are usually short on this for space.

This is a very nice beach. A bit crowded but it is summer in France. Best part parking is free if you eat at the restaurant. So grab a chair and umbrella for 40 euro enjoy the beautiful water and surroundings and then have a great lunch at the restaurant. France knows how to make the beach a great experience. Unfortunately Sardinia does not!

Came down here with the 13 year olds. They can play in the sea, where I, after a sumptuous, very well-prepared salad, am sitting on a coveted transat contemplating my good luck. The boys had the burgers which, I have to admit, had me seriously salivating but I restrained myself as I am going to have dessert later.

We booked on the basis of reviews but were a little disappointed. The place is certainly jam packed with barely room for the staff to squeeze between tables. Service was good though I has to ask for water rather than being offered any.
The lamb was tender but only 3 mouthfuls as the rest was fat and bone cunningly disguised in a herby soggy crumb.
My husband enjoyed his pork stew but said it was over seasoned for his tastes.
The apple crumble was pleasant but my "light hearted" delice de chataigne was inaccurate being rather stodgy and tasteless.
For €100 Euro for 2 courses and a half bottle of wine , there are better places to eat.
