From the entrance to the interior décor it felt like Spain until you looked at the menu
And started to eat the regional cuisine. The atmosphere was Spain and the food was
Truly Portuguese. The food, service, and ambience were all extremely pleasant to the
Eye and felt warm and friendly. Very good comfort food and service. This restaurant
is well located and centralize, near the river and historical places on narrow and quiet
Street.

I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised at how good they prepared the bacalhau (dried, salted cod). We ordered the grilled one and once it was served, it didn't last very long. It was well prepared, delicious, and of generous portions. The corn bread they serve was delish, too! I couldn't complain about the price as I thought it was reasonable. I know his will be a place to return to every time I visit Portugal.

Had all my lunches there when I was at Paredes de Coura Music Festival.
The food is made with fresh local products, with big proportions (half a plate per person is enough) and it is delicious. The prices are also very good for the value. Although the place was packed because of the festival, the service was very organized and it didn't affected the quality of the food.
A great example of a traditional northern restaurant with great food and really nice service.

Ate here with our Backroads Hiking group (there were 15 of us) for a traditional Portuguese meal. All courses were served family-style. We sat outside on their patio which was delightful, except when someone nearby would start smoking. The food was excellent - fresh bread, salad, steak and seafood entrees, and luscious desserts. With family-style, you get to taste a little of everything! The restaurant is a short walk over the old Roman Bridge from the center of town in Ponte de Lima.

We ate the house stake. It was grilled meat acompanied by potatos (batatas a muro), and vegetables.
The vegetables were nice, the potatos were ok, but the meat was not up to standards. The meat in that kind of restaurant should be a lot better!
The service was average, although the waiters were polite.
The codfish looked nice, but that's something one can eat anywhere in Portugal...
Certainly not the best in Arcos de Valdevez....

I went here for lunch after a searching at Tripadvisor app. The restaurant is rated as the #2 in the town.
The restaurant is small and dark with traditional decor and serving genuine Portuguese food.
It's not a cheap restaurant, but either expensive, to me considering the food quality it's acceptable. At lunch time it can be crowded.
PROS
- food: tasty and well cooked;
CONS
- Payment only with cash, I can understand, but in our days is not practical;
DO I WILL RETURN?
can happen, not sure as first option

I was just looking for a restaurant to eat anything in the middle of a long trip when tripadvisor suggested me this restaurant.
I can tell you now that it was the best surprise ever! I found out a minimalist well decorated restaurant, with staff very well prepared and amazing Italian food, but the top was really the desert!
What an amazing discovery...

Grande reclame a Leitão, mas não havia por o dia ser fraco (5 de Outubro), nem nada de carne assada.
"Grelhados de carne tenrinhos", mas também não foram.
Não recomendo a ninguém.
