This review is long overdue - we dropped into the VIELMEER, located right on the marina in Ostseebad Kühlungsborn with great sea views from almost anywhere in this popular restaurant. We sat on the outside deck and enjoyed our meal as well as the view of the Baltic sea. An English menu is available if you ask - service was excellent as was our meal. Recommend!

I put this on my "to-try" list after checking TripAdvisor online before the trip. Interestingly, having talked to the friendly hotel staff in Kuehlungsborn, I was recommended to dine in this place. So of course I didn't miss it!
The interior is nicely decorated with the seamen articles and traditional German furnitures and ornaments, which makes it very unique with the authentic german feel. I ordered a small portion of fried hering with potatoes for the dinner, but it wasn't that small and the meal is surprisingly tasty!
Definitely worth a visit!!!

Was haben wir nach unserem Besuch bedauert, dieses Kleinod erst jetzt besucht zu haben. Waren wir doch schon früher einmal für einige Tage in Kühlungsborn und in diesem März 2018 erneut für rund eine Woche hier. Da wir sehr gerne immer unterschiedliche Restaurants besuchen, sollte es diesmal der Seeteufel werden. Vorher rechtzeitig reserviert und siehe da, hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Der Service war so was von ehrlich herzlich und gefühlt super sympatisch. Hier hatten wir als Gäste nicht nur das Gefühl sehr willkommen zu sein sondern auch, dass es den Inhabern selbst Freude bereitet. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet gut! Da hätten wir wirklich gerne noch mehr von den anderen Speisen gekostet, aber es ging einfach nicht mehr :-).Traumhaft. Deshalb auf diesem Weg nochmal unseren herzlichen Dank an den sehr netten Inhaber in der Küche und die sehr nette Inhaberin am Tresen. An die Bratkartoffeln erinnern wir uns ganz besonders gerne.

We had dinner at the Portofino while on vacation. It offers a large selection of classical Italian dishes. Quality was excellent, the staff was friendly, efficient and forthcoming. The Terrace allows a lot of people to sit outside, the restaurant provides warm covers in case it's a bit chilly. We'll come eat here again.

The ambience of the nice Conditorie added an extra to the delicious cakes and the very tasty coffee. The art, which is exhibited in the nice café adds to the atmosphere. Very cosy and warm, including the friendly service.

We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor and we have eaten wonderful steemed fish with vegetables. Very delicious with normal prices.
The portions were big enough and very healthy 'smeemed fish 'was fantastic.
Very nice service as well.
Das Restaurant ist sehr gut ,mit normallen Preisen und einer netten Atmosphäre.
Es ist nur zu empfehlen.

Our small hotel is located only 300m to the beach. The rooms are cheerful, recently renovated and furbished with flat screen TV, hair dryer etc.We offer 12 double rooms and 15 studios /vacation apartments. Free Wifi access, free parking in our undergound carpark.More pictures and booking on our website. We are looking forward to welcoming you!

Two adults and a kid (6 years old) visited this Brauhaus (Beerhouse) in July 2012. Simple menu, good location, many seats, in house brewery with little shop and the staff is ok. The beer is good, not great but ok. That's the thing a beerhouse obviously should be good in. Actually that is it. The food is very average, they ran out of fish sticks so they just had stricken out this with a pen on the menu , Beilagen (garnish) have to be ordered and paid for separately. It wasn't cheap either so with the garnish it wasn't so good overall. I didn't count that I had to pay for WiFi and that I had to put my ID-number on a piece of paper before I got access.

We recently enjoyed our 5th dinner at "Ribs & Bones" in Kühlungsborn. The service is really friendly and welcomes you warmly in this cosy restaurant. We had steaks, spareribs, burgers and kid's meals. All food was freshly prepared, the sauces, dressings and dips were delicious. The steaks (rump steak and Kansas beef steak) were ordered medium rare and we're grilled exactly like that. The meat was tender and juicy. You can choose between different kind of steaks and the pieces are listed on a board at the wall (see picture).
The burgers are really big: For 11€, you get 2x180g patties on a large burger bun with side fries. You have the opportunity to choose between 3 sauces for the ribs, which are all very tasty. The spareribs are tender and come off the bones easily. Children can enjoy cheap dishes (<4 €). I recommend the Ribs&Bones as a great place to eat high quality steaks!

Crowded place, therefore loud. But so many visitors can't be wrong. Very good meat (we had chicken breast, beef fillet and Rumpstak(NY Strip) plus sides). Waiters sometimes not too attentive, basically very friendly. Red wine far too warm. Recommended.

This was our first time to this place. We had dinner with friends in Wilhelm's wintergarden and very much enjoyed the excellent food. Especially the "Probiermenu" was a great choice and evidenced the great potential this restaurant absolutely has. Unfortunately as excellent as the food was, as mediocre was the service. Friendly, but not attentive at all and certainly not at the professional level you'd expect in such place. Only because of the food, we would come again. But raising the service level to the quality level of the kitchen would really make this place a top spot in the area.
