We had a business lunch in this place and one of the best things of this restaurant is the marvelous location besides the beach. At noon, you are surrounded by the turquoise transparent water and craddled by the noise of the waves on the side.
The food is very good and reasonable by Barbados standards. It is a sophisticated version of bajan food plus international. Service was very good and they managed to give quick service to a large party

That has to tell you something. The food is really good. Our last visit with friends involved full English breakfast and service matched the food. Friendly, unassuming location in the Gap and they do an excellent job. Recommend.

....but the punch and fish cakes are very overrated. Go for the rotis, a couple beers, and the scenery.

Looking for some fresh local food after a long day of work or touring our beautiful island?Come on over where the food is great. Table settings and tablecloths, a home away from home no plastic plates, forks or knives. You can have a variety of fish Mahi-Mahi, King Fish, Blue Marlin all fresh fish, which is marinated and served to you fried or grilled but we are famous for our Pan Seared fish with Vegetables. A lot of people ask what Pan Seared is. Pan Seared is a special butter we use and we add our local vegetables such as onions, carrots, broccoli, beans, sweet peppers ,pumpkins etc. Basically any local veg we could find. You can have this any other night than on Friday nights. On Thursday nights there is Pudding' N Souse and there is our famous Jerk pork and white rice.Fridays you can have Vegetable Rice Macaroni Pie, Fry Pork Chops Fry Chicken Grilled or Fry Fish Fried Breadfruit and Sweet Plantain. Chips or Wedges Toss Salad and Coleslaw. Saturdays you can also have Pudding N 'Souse from around 11:am you can call to place your order.Oh on Sundays now is a wider variety. You can get Green Peas and Rice, Macaroni Pie, Curry Goat, Sweet Potato Pie, Bake Pork Chops, Bake Lamb Chops, Bake Chicken, Steam Vegetables, Pan Seared,Grill fish or Fry Fish with a Garden Salad, Fried Breadfruit and Sweet Plantain. I guess that is our full menu so I hoping so see you soon.
I went there last night and had the sword fish, with plantains, breadfruit and mac pie. Just delicious. The fish dinner is $30 bbd and you got enough for two meals. Just had my leftovers and simply tasting. Also, try the rum punch.
I will probably be back every Friday for the next 8 weeks!

Surfer's Cafe is an awesome restaurant with a very laid back atmosphere, cool vibes and rustic charm, located opposite Massy Supermarket on the western edge of Oistins. From our balcony, guests can enjoy unrestricted views of the beautiful Oistins Bay, the nearby fishing village is always a hive of activity and guests can watch the authentic, locally hand crafted fishing vessels coming and going. It’s also an ideal location to view breathtaking sunsets while enjoying an early dinner, or cocktails. Surfer’s Café, is a family styled, surfer themed restaurant, and with an established Surfing community on the island, we can’t go without pointing out our close proximity to two local surf spots "Freights Bay" and "South Point" to the south east.
I came here with 3 friends. We sat out over looking the sea which was beautiful.
The food was good and we were happy with the portion sizes. Cocktails were also nice however slightly over priced.
We tried to return here one evening but it was closed but I am not sure what time it closed that evening.
Overall it was a nice little stop for lunch and a drink.

Well what a weird experience! Came here with great expectations after doing my homework on bars and restaurants in the area to visit....asked for a cocktail menu only to be told “didn’t have one” as all cocktails in his head?? Well as being one of those people that only really drink cocktails while on holiday, not really any good to me as I like to choose what I’m in the mood for, played it safe and asked for sex on the beach! ( surely u can’t really go wrong with that) oh boy did he go wrong with that? After sipping on it I realised there was no peach schnapps in it, he then come out to check we were ok with the drink....said there’s no peach schnapps in it, to which he replied , didn’t have any?? Told him he should have told us he didn’t have any and I would have chose something else from that invisible list he has! Sorry but if your gonna offer cocktails then at least have the correct drinks to include!!!

Like others have mentioned this is one of the best mixes of carribean nightlife, food, atmosphere and the whole Bajan experience. Food was decently priced, cheap and mid range options were avaliable, and the fish, lets be honest, is probably amongst the finest in the world.
Only possible negative might be the level of service can be on the slow side, as well as a lot of hawking for customers when you first arrive. That said its all friendly and respectful, and a lot of fun. Expect as well to be in close quarters with other people, who often we found could be the most interesting people you will ever meet.

Although we went on a Friday we had to wait a while for a table & food but it was definitely worth the wait.. everything was so fresh & tasty & there was plenty of it.
Normally go to George's or Pat's but think this could be my new favourite. We had children with us & they gave the them some macaroni pie while we waited for our meals which was kind.

We are an Eco-Cafe specializing in vegan cuisine. We offer an internationally themed variety of meals as well as coffee, shakes, smoothies, cake, non dairy ice cream amongst other things. Good friends. Good food. Good vibes. The Good Life.
So happy to find a 100% vegan restaurant! Right off a main road, easy to get to. Staff was welcoming. Food was very good. The had dessert, which is hard to find when you're vegan. Also coffee, tea, juice, smoothies and alcohol. After we finished, one of the staff escorted us to a taxi location. Great for vegans, vegetarians and everyone else ... you won't miss the meat!!!!

We returned to the fish fry in Oistins for a second Friday night. We went again to Uncle George’s and had our special waitress Melissa. We went early it was perfect timing. I had shrimp with all the sides, 7 large shrimp with coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni pie and rice and peas . I had a hard time finishing the rice I was so full! Delicious! My husband had the barracuda which he loved and our friends both had flying fish also top notch ! If you go to Oistins for fish fry go to Uncle George’s tell Melissa her Canadian friends sent you.
