Pacific Coast Restaurant/Bar in an historical building serving fresh seafood and original homemade platters for fair prices.
I had spaghetti which was a child's portion (l left hungry) and my wife was served raw chicken wings. We will never go back. She showed the owner and was given 25% off...7 wings for $7.50, 3 were extremely small and 4 were medium. You can buy a whole chicken here in Panama for $4.

What a bargain. After a Sunset Cruise with Coronado Fishing, we stopped for their Monday night special...5 course dinner and glass of wine for $20.00. Choice of fish or rabbit as the main course. Three of us dined for a little more than a comparable meal for one in Panama City. Beautiful view and a lovely breeze on the patio. Also, pet friendly on the patio. This is a wonderful restaurant and well worth a visit. This is on our regular list while we are in Coronado.

Teresa, some locals call her "Mama", runs a small restaurant out of her home near Las Ruinas in Nueva Gorgona. For those of us who live at the Bahia and Playa Serena, it is walking distance. The menu is on the wall---you can get fresh corvina cooked a number of different ways, shrimp, pasta, AND you can get breakfast, too. Only open from Thursday-Sunday. Seating is outdoors/covered. Rincon Catracho is located on the street that goes to the local Fish Market Co-op in Nueva Gorgona.

We had a visitor from Northern California and had spent the day in El Valle de Anton. To top off our excellent day we stopped in Casa Florencia for an early dinner. What a great choice. This restaurant has the entire package: excellent service, pleasant atmosphere, creative menu, and great food at a reasonable price. Chef Franco, Cincia, and Stefano are excellent hosts. As soon as you are seated they bring bruschetta, and a glass of Prosecco. I had a delightful mushroom risotto, my wife had the eggplant parmigiana and our visitor had a seafood dish. The wines by the glass were very good. We were all very pleased with our choices. Highly recommended.

I'd read good things about Delicias Margot but the parking lot is usually packed so we haven't stopped before. Today there was only one car in the parking lot, so we gave it a try.
Walked through a large covered outside area, beautiful with wooden tables and chairs and greenery into the restaurant which is cafeteria style. All the items are on display. You tell the joven what you want and he puts it on a plate for you. Each item is a la carte, but the prices are clearly posted on the wall which ensures you don't get the "gringo pricing" that we sometimes encounter in Panama. The joven heated our plates for us, got us our drinks and passed us to the cashier. Breakfast for two, with coffee and cola, was $9.
The maize was dry but the haladre was very good. I had a yucca stuffed with ground beef which was moist and tasty. The coffee was good and the Coca Cola cold. My husband and I both had the home made sausage which I thought was very good. My husband had the carne sauteed in a sauce with onions. He loved the flavor of it.
Sat and watched the foot and vehicular traffic go by, while enjoying a traditional Panamanian breakfast and appreciating the breeze. They also had hard-boiled eggs, tamales, empenadas; there were no fruit or vegetable offerings.
Will definitely be back.

During the low season, they have been offering a $20 meal which includes starter, main dish, dessert, a glass of wine, and coffee or tea. We have been several times. The best was the filet mignon dinner! The seared Ahi was also good. You can sit inside or out. Service is top notch, and they can email you the weekly Monday special. The new marina in Vista Mar is nearby. I recommend trying Vista Mar...

GastroPub with cold beers, live music, karaoke and specialized in burgers and much more.
Sorry you can't be a gastro pub and not have taps. Cool set up, nice menu, good selection of micro brew in bottles but no draft beer. Shame shame. That's like saying you are an Irish pub and not having Guinness.Sorry at that time we have a problem with the equipment, but is already solve and now you can taste our variety of draft beer that we have.

I thought the service was excellent, but understand that it is excellent by Panamanian standards -- leisurely, so that we could visit with our friends and not be rushed.
I had the garlic clams. The bowl must have had 50 clams in them; about 10 had not opened. They were the small clams. The butter sauce was great and they provided a sufficient amount of bread for dipping. (When we ordered we asked for "mas pan.") Three of us had the clams and we all liked them.
My husband's Mahi Mahi was grilled and absolutely excellent! He's not a fan of yucca fries, so I ate three of them and they were perfect -- crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good flavor.
The restaurant is in the front of the building, over the sand. One could not ask for a better setting. We had a full moon and the weather was just perfect -- no rain, no wind (just a gentle breeze). The wait staff was able to communicate effectively with us English-speaking customers.
We split the bill five ways. With tip, we each paid $21. That did include two glasses of wine, three cervezas and a corkage fee for the others in our party.
Hope Rincon de Bahia can survive in this very tough environment. Go there and support them.
