Set in delightful North Norfolk countryside, our stylish award winning restaurant features a fashionable modern interior complete with a sumptuous lounge and spectacular bar. A fantastic choice for any occasion whether it's a breakfast to kick start the day or a quick coffee, a light lunch or an a la carte lunch or dinner. Good food has always been a vital ingredient of The Olive Tree's Delivery and an important connection with its rural location. The restaurant offers a Modern British food style using only the best local, fresh ingredients - organic wherever possible. Our guiding principle is quite simply to source and prepare the fabulous seasonal produce on our doorstep, providing real food with true flavours. There is also a lovely Mediterranean-style outside Terrace with a central picturesque water feature with Koi Carp, box hedges, olive trees and fronds of papyrus grass, which is ideal for al fresco dining and drinks on warm summer evenings.
Staying in the lodges last night and raining so thought we'd try this as it was close by. Friendly in there but very quiet. Menu was uninspiring and food very expensive for what's served. Sirloin steak over £20 and not a great bit of meat. Will try outside of the lodge site tonight I think

We have not had a takeaway for a long time and my wife, of 20 years, had the brainwave for getting a 'Chinese'.
Naturally, I jumped at the chance! Sweet and sour sauce....yummy. I went for the prawn balls with egg-fried rice while the missus opted for prawn chow mein.
They were helpful when we ordered and it took just 20 minutes to collect.
The portions were quite generous, but the rice was visibly lacking any fried egg. My wife thought the sauce 'tangy' but I thought it was okay. The meals were somewhat pricey at a shade under £20. Overall we were disappointed and did not think it was particularly great value for money. I was especially under-whelmed with the so-called egg fried rice, it may well have just been plain rice. While £20 might be reasonable to have a table in the restaurant, for a takeaway it seemed excessive. The quality of the food though was good and there was plenty of it for two.
As it was my wife's idea she has been given a written warning.

Our Two AA Rosette Fine Dining Restaurant is open to residents and non-residents for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner daily.
Its probably just us but we never really feel that the Beechwood delivers what you expect for a venue of this quality. There was nothing wrong with the food - or the service - but, equally, it lacked the "something" that marks out its "classiness"........and even allowing for our (unreasonable ?) "expectations", we did have several better Christmas lunches this December

Visited for Sunday lunch with our parents, having recently moved to Dilham so it’s our local.
We all ordered Sunday lunch. Meats were all good but veg was pretty sparse and clearly nuked (except the roast carrots that were lovely)
Hubby ordered a side of garlic bread which was soggy and again nuked! Given the menu says it’s not fast food but good food served as fast as can be this isn’t really acceptable. We complained and it went in the oven but wasn’t much improved.
Puds were good with a reasonable portion of custard.
We were warmly welcomed on arrival but the landlord was much more interested in engaging with his regulars. This was a mistake. As I mentioned earlier we recently moved to the village and have invested in some holiday cottages, also in the village. Given the quality of the food and lack of attention from the owner we will be recommending alternatives for Sunday lunch to our guests.
A shame as we wanted to fall in love with our new local.

We fell in love with the venue and its setting on our first visit and knew we wanted to get married there. The main building, marquee and surrounding grounds are a beautiful, intimate country location, perfect for what we wanted.
From day one, the team were so accommodating, allowing us to make the wedding exactly how we wanted. They gave us free choice over our menu and helped us organise the finer details - chair ties/covers and DJ. The staff even helped us decorate the marquee to our specifications, hanging lanterns and bunting from the ceiling.
The day itself was amazing and Katie - and the other staff - could not have been more attentive to our needs, even force feeding us burgers when she realised we hadn't eaten anything due to the hectic nature of weddings. They even allowed us to make some very last minute changes that made the day extra special.
The food for the wedding breakfast was lovely, and the service was excellent. They accommodated for the wide range of dietary requirements that our guests had. The children were also well looked after with lovely freshly prepared children's meals.
The accommodation was lovely too. Our guests took up all of the rooms and the Nelson Suite was a lovely luxury. The apartments were also great for our guests with children, offering a contemporary and spacious setting to relax.
Our experience finished with a traditional English Breakfast which was cooked to order with delicious ingredients.
Overall we are delighted we chose Scarborough Hill for our wedding and sincerely thank them for all their efforts in making our day so special.

only one negative - one of our party found the flashing Christmas icicle lights a little hard on the eyes, so chose to sit so they could not be seen - no problem !

Based at the garden centre, the smokey grill house by night, the ramblers by day! It's like weatherspoons prices... but nicer food! They even have a cocktail machine so nice treat for north walsham! Very reasonable, all very good food. Had burgers, grilled fish, starters are lovely and the cookie desert is amazing! Very friendly team and will definitely be going back. It's only open 4 days a week though

They do one of the best burgers bar none and you will not believe how inexpensive it is.
My favourite is the "Sloppy Joe" fantastic home made Chilli burger with cheese. Make sure you are hungry as the portions are impressive. This is definitely a place for salad dodgers. Highly recommended a must try if you are in the area!!
They do great breakfasts too.

Traditional tearoom, within our nursery and plant centre at Hadfields of North Walsham. Serving tea, coffee, light lunches and homemade cake.
Had lunch here with a girlfriend earlier in the week. We both had a baguette, mine filled with prawns and my friend's with bacon, Brie and cranberries. A small side salad and coleslaw made for a hearty lunch. Coffee also tasted delicious. Waitress service inside, but you order at the counter is sitting outside. Friendly service and some delicious looking cakes which we could not manage, but my friend took a piece of coffee and walnut sponge away to give to her mum, large portion.
