Nördlingen is a town in the Donau-Ries district, in Swabia, Bavaria, Germany, with a population of approximately 19,190. It was first mentioned in recorded history in 898, and in 1998 the town celebrated its 1100th anniversary. The town was the location of two battles during the Thirty Years' War, which took place between 1618–1648. Today it is one of only three towns in Germany that still has a completely established city wall, the other two being Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Dinkelsbühl.

We came to visit Meyers Keller to present our spanish niece and her boyfriend with some excellent example of traditional dishes cooked at the highest level and Meyers Keller turned out have been an excellent choice indeed. We greatly enjoyed all of our dishes which included a starter of home made culatello then mains of Maultaschen, Wiener Schnitzel, Krautwickel and Schwäbischer Rostbraten followed with a dessert for 4 of Kaiserschmarrn. Evereything was prepared very very well indeed. Service was a delight. We will most certainly return.

Stuck is a traditional restaurant that is managed by a young couple. We have been there several times and always truly enjoyed the experience. They are combining traditional German food with original additions. In summer they have a beautiful courtyard. Highly recommended.

Just walking through this really quaint town in the middle if a monstrous asteroid crater and I felt like a coffee, saw a Illy sign and entered the wonderful world which is Cafe Radlos. The coffee was perfect and the ambience was really laid back, nice chilling vibes. The staff were really attentive and very friendly. I liked it so much I stayed for some beers and a meal. They served Augustiner which is my favorite lager (surprised to find it so far from Munich). The food was awesome and I found out that they have 2 genuine Italian chefs who know their stuff. I would fully recommend Cafe Radlos to anyone in Bavaria - it's worth the drive. Ach Ja Super!!

We were in town to have a glance at one of the cities on the "Romantic road" and in search for a place to have lunch we decided to pick this place as it had a nice Terrace outside.
The restaurant wants to serve a basic Italian cuisine but in my opinion it was pretty far from it. We had a salad with Turkey slices and tagliatelle with gorgonzola cheese. Tasted them both and I was not impressed. My wife said she liked the pasta, but on the other hand me being a fan of the Italian cuisine, I may tend to be very exigent on the food that is called Italian.
The service...I would give it a 6 out of 10 without saying much else.
They have a clean toilet(have in mind that it implies some stairs so may not be so friendly to wheelchairs.
Payment by credit card is possible but you need to get inside with the bill.
No wifi available.
What can I say on the other hand is that the place was almost full and I think there were more than 20 tables outside so maybe I am a bit harsh. For sure when we will be back we will try something else.

After wandering around Norlingen we decided to have dinner at the Gasthouse zum Fuchs. A bog standard German Pub the waitress was attentive, the food arrived quickly and was really well prepared. Not an extensive menu, it did however have many Bavarian favorites including Pork Hocks and Schnitzels which is what we had and thoroughly enjoyed. As is typical in German Pubs they had numerous beers on tap which were all excellent. Not a fancy place but it certainly does a good job filling up an empty stomach.

Well this was a surprise. We were a group of 17 travelers on a 10-day trip across Germany. In Noerdlingen we simply needed a quick lunch and a break from German food. Instead, what we experienced was a highlight of the entire (already very special) trip. Sorbas is a side trip to Greece, thanks to Yanni's great spirit and thanks to the quality of the kitchen. We felt as though we were family arriving for a celebration rather than strangers just passing through. Our only regret was that we were there for lunch and had to stay on an onward schedule. We envy guests who can spend a long evening at Sorbas, enjoying all the stages of a wonderful great meal. (Yanni saved us a bundle on dinner. That night at the Hofbraeuhaus in Munich, everyone still was so satisfied from lunch that we hardly ordered anything beyond the beer!)

Great place, very friendly staff, excellent food! We had Greek farmer's salad to start, then grilled squind and grilled salmon as a main: all fabulous! The retsina was superb and so was the espresso (trust us: we are Italians!). We absolutely recommend it. Nördlingen is a beautiful place and dinner at Athena's was the perfect addition to a great stay. After dinner we walked all around the city on the wall path. If you are touring Bavaria, include Nördlingen and Athena in your itinerary.

Our hotel staff recommended this restaurant local cuisine. We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. All the entrees which included liver and onions were expertly prepared.
The food quality was excellent. The service was friendly and inviting. The place was packed and obviously very popular. After dinner, we all knew why. Our waitress was informative and made us aware of the various after dinner drinks available. We all tried something different. We would definitely want to dine here again.

This was very much as expected it was recommended by someone. The food was good and the service staff were attentive. We did not wait long for the starters the main course was quick also. The restaurant was busy but not packed. It looked like it would hold a lot more people and there was Seating outside.
