Even though my girlfriend is from Taiwan and we prefer to eat the more typical asian dishes at other restaurant downtown Rotterdam this one is very good as well. As we live close to this restaurant we sometimes go get some food from here. The quality and speed of preparation is good but it can be pretty busy when you go there at the wrong time. Calling them first can help improve the waiting time though.
As with every Chinese restaurant also this one gave us the wrong food once as well :)

We ordered the deer and the gnocci, which both turned out to be tasty choices.
Good selection of deserts; if you already had enough but still want to join in for the Deserts there is a small "join in icecream" of two instead of four scoops of ice of your choice.

Never had a disappointing lunch or dinner there. Let the staff inform you about the specials wich are based around seasonal products. The various fish, smoked meats and traditional Dutch and French dishes are always a delight.

We visited this restaurant for an all-you-can-eat-and-drink deal. The food buffet was good quality, regularly refilled and ample choice, mostly well known Indonesian dishes (but flavours and spicyness adapted to the Dutch palet). Good choice of desserts too, including a lot of fresh fruit, ice cream and creme brulee.. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is situated right across from a metro station. The ambiance is nice enough although not very indonesian.

This restaurant is quietly situated, a little bit off-road between Capelle and Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. The staff are very friendly and take pride in their work. I would recommend their five-courses tasting menu for just €25, which is really a good value. The place is good for dinner with friends or business. There is a parking and also an outdoor Seating if you like.

Had dinner here with friends. 2 star restaurant. The food was excellent, although there was not one dish that really stood out, something we will remember a year from now.
What was disappointing was the service. I do not mind casual style, but this was often beyond casual, more indifferent.
Food was not well explained, order of (great) cheeses not explained, and twice food was served while some of us where in the bathroom.
If they level the staff with the kitchen crew, it would really merit the 2 stars

I've had the pleasure of eating in many fine restaurants but this one puts most of them to shame. The experience is pure excellence. The two female waitresses are knowledgeable and unbelievably attentive. The sommelier and hostess ,if possible, even more so but more importantly everybody seems to do their job with a sense of love, pride and passion that's unparalleled. You feel welcome from the moment you enter the door of the beautiful old building until long after you've left. The food is on equal par with the excellent service and never skips a beat. the timing is immaculate, the tastes surprising but always balanced and all in all quite simply wonderful. A special mention should be made of he wine paring which was spot on every time!
This restaurant currently has one Micheline star but punches well above it's weight and isn't easily outdone by some 2 and even three star venues. I would happily go here again...and agian... and again .. it truly is ... very close to being perfect.

If you're looking for a nice, relatively quiet place to have a decent meal, look no further. It's a bit out of the way from the city, but in my opinion definitely worth making the detour to the old center of Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel. The menu consists of tapas, with such classics as patatas bravas and albondigas, but also own creations. The mushrooms filled with cheese are my favorite item from the menu; give them a try!
They also serve some nice wines, both Spanish and from other countries. Tuesdays thru Thursdays, you can make use of an "all you can eat" arrangement; haven't tried that, but either way the restaurant is budget friendly.
Well worth a visit, according to this frequent visitor!

Staying in the (slightly isolated) hotel this was the choice for dinner, and a good option too!
There's a modern menu, with enough choices for most people, meat, fish, and vegetarian.
Table service was great ordering and for food arriving, trying to get the bill proved difficult, even though there are plenty of staff.
I chose the veal rack for main, and it was very tasty, and a nice sized meal.
Give it a try, if you're just looking to drink you can sit in more comfortable surroundings, or at the bar.
