Neuruppin (German pronunciation: [nɔʏʁʊˈpiːn]) is a town in Brandenburg, Germany, the administrative seat of Ostprignitz-Ruppin district. It is the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Fontane (1819–1898) and therefore also referred to as Fontanestadt. A garrison town since 1688 and largely rebuilt in a Neoclassical style after a devastating fire in 1787, Neuruppin has the reputation of being "the most Prussian of all Prussian towns".

Wunderschöne Atmosphäre im Wintergarten. Sehr gemütlich! Wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Die Speisen sind sehr hochwertig. Die Zubereitung mit Liebe und Können. Freundliche und aufmerksamer Service.

We enjoyed a dinner and lunch at Theo's having fish. The food was great. This was the best fish dish for a long time. They also serve meat and we saw the portions were very big. The service was friendly and the price very fair.

We stopped for a coffee on a Sunday afternoon, sat outdoor and had a large very nice children's play ground literally next to us on the square. Our kids (5 and 7) played for an hour in the climbing net and the interesting water playground (no you dont get too wet, you are to guide water from an old fashioned hand pump into the sand via some steel constructions) while we enjoyed the shade.

Unfortunately, the bad service ruins it all. This restaurant has a huge opportunity, next to a spa resort with a beautiful view of the lake, an hour from Europe's major capital city, and it really ought to be doing better with better and client friendly service. Property prices are going up all over the area, but this place is not keeping pace. The kitchen is acceptable, not brilliant, but the service is absolutely appalling. The waiters are slow, pay no attention and are charmless to the point of rude. Management should pay more attention.

Enjoyed a nightcap Sambucca in a relaxed setting with a friendly and helpful barman who even printed us the train timetable for our return journey, thanks.

We loved this restaurant. It is beautiful inside, and have a very nice garden for sitting outside. We were 4 couples and ate lunch - all the dishes were very tasty. The staff was really nice and I would definitely go back.

This review is late in coming. Wanted to write it last couple of months. But anyway it was such a wonderful surprise to see people passionate about what they are doing. The height light of the dinner was the different types of balsamco that was...MoreThank you

Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area! Well worth to leave for a break from the Autobahn between Rostock and Berlin.

After seeing the town we ended up here because it looked inviting from the street. It was too inclement to sit outside so were ushered inside to what looked like a covered atrium. The restaurant is part of a small hotel and the larger part was over by the bar area. The ambience was warm and inviting.
Our server was good and our area was filling up so it kept him busy.
I ordered the pork with mushroom dish (see the photos already listed on TRipAdvisor) and a Czech dark beer and my wife ordered the chicken breast and a Fanta. Both came with potatoes although hers were croquettes. They were both enjoyable although we agreed the chicken dish was a bit better.
No room for dessert.
Now the one issue I have is this was a cash only restaurant and the bill came to €30. Fortunately we had enough cash on us but we should have asked beforehand.
This place was very good and had a nice ambience. Just bring cash.
