In every Ocean Basket there is, you will find the same formula for success - simplicity, value for money, and the best seafood in the world, served piping hot in the pan.
Bagatelle Mall is a nice shopping venue with many restaurants and eateries. Our group of five settled on Ocean Basket for lunch. We sat at the Terrace to enjoy the wintry weather. Although the blinds were drawn down to shield diners from the cold draft, it was still comfortable.
We ordered soups, side orders and shared a Family seafood platter. The Mediterranean seafood soup was good. The Family seafood platter was huge and comprised various seafood items (prawns, calamari and mussels) as well as French fries and yellow rice. The fish fillets were lightly battered and tasted good. We enjoyed our lunch.

Our thanks to Himanshu (a highly diligent restaurant manager) and his team who gave constant and helpful service to our party of guests in the private area yesterday evening.

Congrats!

Palatewise I am spoiled and I know so! After repeated trips to India, I well know, what spices are supposed to smell and taste like. So from a culinary point of view, my trip to Mauritius was disappointing - except for La Maison Créole! The three course meal was well composed, well prepared and adorably presented! If back to Mauritius - I'd make sure to eat here more than once!

Went there on an evening just before Christmas. Try to reserve a place the day before but was unable as it was full booked, however, the personel advise us to drop by as we may get a table and this was just what happen. We were not the only ones as there were also some other customers in the same situation as us and still they were able to find a table. That was great. Though the place was full we had a nice service, the personel did their best to serve us quickly. They were nice, so as the atmosphere. The food and the snacks were ok and the drinks awesome. Spend a good evening there.

Nando’s flame grilled Peri-Peri chicken is a totally unique taste experience. Fresh, A-grade chickens are butterfly cut and marinated in Nando’s secret recipe marinade for 24 hours, ensuring that the flavour goes right through to the bone. They are then grilled and basted with your favourite Nando’s Peri-Peri basting -Lemon and Herb, Mild, Hot or Extra Hot Peri-Peri sauce -on a special open-flame.
I have lunch recently though I have already visited this place I highly recommend it for the nice food and drinks. Sometimes you have to wait but it is worthy because the food is perfect and the staffs pleasant one ... thanks a lot to miss angeli who was very pleasant to me .

Opened only from Monday to Friday for lunches only. Give us a phone call for availibility. A Creole traditional restaurant in Mauritius, a unique know-how .... Between the famous Rougaille Creole sausage, cang mocked cabbage and salted fish, traditional curry chicken creole, or broth 'zourite and coconut chutney' Escale Creole remains the TABLE where you and your guests can make the unique experience of a "real Manze Lacaze" , hearty and generous !!! In a large veranda, we can serve between 2 and 50 seats on large tables with traditional gingham tablecloths. Our "table d'hote" allows each client to help himself laid flat on the table well Mauritian way, so that everyone is free to be reserved if desired
We stumbled upon this restaurant when we went to Eureka museum, and we're glad we did. The hostess was so friendly and welcoming. Their style of serving food gives you the opportunity to sample all the great Mauritian dishes. We will come back before we leave the island for sure.

Moka’z, like Western & Asian counterparts, serves a range of coffees, from espresso to lattes, iced coffees to milkshakes, as well as popular food items in a conducive, modern, relaxed atmosphere.
A group of 7 of us went for lunch.I had a blue cheese burger with chips, another had cheese burger and chips & others had salads.Pleased to report that food was very good and servoice by a lovely chap called Fabrice was excellent(please note management, people that good at customer service are hard to find!).
Well:
Recommended for locals and tourists who like good food,at reasonable prices,in nice surroundings, and if served by Fabrice very good waiting skills.
Not recommended for locals or tourists who are pretentious and are quite happy to be ripped off for sub standard food,at inflated prices,by people who really do not want to work there and are hoping to find something easier and more well paid to do|

I visited APO takeaway several times already, but more frequently the one in Beau Bassin. They have a wide variety of dishes and even propose tasty vegetarian meals + rice for the great satisfaction of vegans customers. I highly recommend the "soya bean with black bean sauce" on which all my collegues fell in love with.
I did try APO in Tamarin twice, which is far from where I live, and I must say the fried rice there is so good.
