A great place with air conditioning. We had coffee, juices, sandwiches and an amazing brownie with ice cream. We loved all of it. A definite must go. We loved this place.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? The previous reviewers didn't lie or exaggerate; this small restaurant is 'da bomb'. I sat at the bar so I had a view of the bartender making drinks, the cooks in the kitchen and the sweet wait staff keeping the customers happy. My first wish as I neared the end of my meal was that i had a stomach twice as large so that i could continue to eat.

Restaurante con cocina abierta, salida privada al rio, la especialidad es la parrilla fusionada con frutas y sabores del tropico, tambien ofrecemos opciones vegetarianas, servicio de bar, tienda de artesanias y juegos de mesa
I first visited Minca in 2011 and Bururake soon became one of my favourite restaurants, ever. The quality of service and food, can contend with any steak restaurant in London or Buenos Aires. The decor took me straight back to Dalston, really funky and quirky, the owners are all artists.
And then you get the jungle and river, there really isn't a better place to eat in Santa Marta or Minca

Restaurant and Bar Ouzo is a fresh, new Mediterranean restaurant located in the center of Santa Marta's Parque de los Novios. Opened by the owners of the established restaurant Agave Azul, Ouzo offers the best in Mediterranean cuisine with a fine mix of cocktails and wines. Everything from homemade pasta and fresh seafood to wood fired pizza can be thoroughly enjoyed.
This place is a gem. They are usually booked for dinners so make sure you book in advance. Both El Balcon (restaurant upstairs) and Ouzo offer outstanding food for reasonable prices. While in Ouzo, go for any of their pizzas. They allow you to compose half-half pizza so you can try half of one pizza and half of a different pizza if you cannot make a decision which one to choose. You will not be disappointed!

The food was SO DELICIOUS we had to keep coming back! Steak, seafood, brownies, pumpkin soup....everything was seasoned or had sauces that made this a true gourmet feast. The owner and chef is world class and has learned his craft with lots of influences from different countries. What a find! This is a MUST TRY restaurant and seriously underpriced for the great quality of food. And, the view is breathtaking!

We were two couples who ordered the ravioli, lasagna and seafood pasta. The food was worth waiting for—which is a good thing, since it took an inordinately long time for our freshly-made pasta dishes to be served. Chef Luca makes his guests feel very welcome, and even offered us an after-dinner limoncello. Service was good. Nice cosy atmosphere and the music isn’t too loud. Good value for the money.

Named after our friendly resident lazy cats Tomasito y Lionel, The Lazy Cat or El Gato Perezoso in Spanish is set in a pretty riverside cottage in the heart of Minca, there is a lovely Terrace where you can chill out to the sounds of the river, play spot the iguana & take advantage of free wi-fi. Inside it’s brightly colored & cosy with comfy corners, sofas where you can sit back & relax, enjoy a film listen to music or play a board game.Friendly Anglo/Colombian owners Steph & Cobi are always on site to make you feel at home & prepare fantastic value for money food ranging from delicious home-made burgers, to Thai style stir-fries with rice noodles, fillet steaks, fresh salads, hummus, wraps, sandwiches, & quesadillas. Great drinks are on offer too…natural juices, organic local coffee & hot chocolate, beers, wine, cocktails are all here to be enjoyed. Sunset happy hour every day from 6-7pm with reduced price beer, cocktails & wine is a must do!
We ate at the Lazy Cat twice during our one day stay on Minca. Service is fairly slow (but it is everywhere in Colombia) but the food is really excellent. For lunch we had the steak and cheese Sandwich and the chicken Sandwich and both came on great, homemade ciabatta bread, Both had generous portions of meat, cheese, and avocado with accompanying french fries. In the evening one of us ate there and had the vegetable noodle bowl, which was okay but nothing to rave about.. All-in-all Lazy Cat is definitely one of the top places to eat in Minca and you should definitely give it a try, especially if you are hungry..

The Restaurant and Accommodation CASA ANTONIO located 100 meters from the bridge of Minca in a straight line towards Pozo Azul, offers a very calm and pleasant family atmosphere, where you can taste the Spanish Mediterranean cuisine (paellas, fish and seafood), as well as where you can find the best desserts of place (lemon tart, roasted milk, fried milk, floating Islands and creme brulee). Surrounded by a botanical garden where you will enjoy its great beauty, and in turn follow the flight of different birds endemic of the place by a path that will take you to the private access to the river of Minca in which you will enjoy a pleasant bath and will reassure you in your fresh and crystalline waters that come from our Sierra Nevada. Its rooms are spacious and pleasant where you spend hours of relaxation attended at all times by a large family.
Just across from my hostel, this family run restaurant serves good food, with an Italian -Spanish touch that is a welcome change from the heavier local food. For Al fresco dining, there's a lush garden at the back, though the cool tiles of the dining area indoors seemed a good idea as it was threatening rain.
I had a very nice tilapia with mushrooms, cooked with a wine sauce and accompanied by steamed potatoes.

We stumbled upon this small coffee shop, right in the center of town directly across from the main (only?) church, while we waited for the rain to subside. Family run business - they were hosting a Peace Corps worker from Colorado who informed us that this family makes the best empanadas in all of Colombia. So per his recommendation we try them, as well as the homemade ice popsicles. We were in Minca for 3 days - we were at this restaurant craving these two food items every single day. You will not be disappointed (unless they run out). Also, bonus is they're extremely inexpensive so you can afford to have 2!
