Follow in the footsteps of the Emperor of Germany, Sir Winston Churchill and even Elvis Prestley by drinking in this beautiful old pub/hotel. Its the oldest drinking hostelry in all of Germany . We visited Miltenberg on a river cruise so we were short of time to explore its menu fully and opted for a Faust beer, apple strudel and cream. Sublime. Milkenberg is a charmer of a Bavarian town, beautiful architecture, quaint medieval streets and friendly folk everywhere offering us cheese, pretzels, cake and schnapps to try. A fantastic place and a memorable visit.

This was a great find with plenty of atmosphere and almost devoid of tourists. There was an English menu on request however and the staff were helpful and obliging. The beer and house red wine were good and the food excellent. Food was cooked to order. I had a perfect tender rump steak smothered with a very tasty dark onion sauce and served with spatzel and a very good salad. My wife had what was from the menu for smaller dishes which consisted of a grilled pork neck and salad that good hardly be described as small but was very good. Overall a great lunch.

Very nice and confortable place with any table outside under the grape. The service is good with the right timing, curteous and ready to support your cooking desire. Very good food, well prepared and deserved with a good outlook. They are also wine producers and it taste good to be a german wine.

The local beer was an excellent compliment to the Venison & the Schnitzel the we enjoyed. This is one of our pleasures when travelling, not necessarily shared with other unseasoned travellers. We say get out and try anything and everything local when you have the chance to do so. Most enjoyable, friendly & helpful staff, notwithstanding language barriers.

A cozy option for lunch or dinner on the "other side" of the Main from Miltenberg. The perfect open air eats option in this beautiful town. Menu offers many traditional favorites done nicely and for a fair price.

I was a guest at Gasthof zum Stern for three (3) nights during August 2016. My single room was clean, cozy and with a shower and toilet. The WiFi internet connection was excellent.
Frau Barbara Baumann was a very hospitable, friendly and helpful hostess that spoke excellent english. She was very service friendly and always asking how she could help or what she could bring or do. Her breakfasts were wonderful with a wide variety of meats, cheeses, breads, jams, yogurt and cereals. I also enjoyed the homemade potato dumplings and salad dinner.
The bus stop in town was just two hundred meters away. I traveled by bus to Miltenberg and it was very convenient.
I would strongly recommend staying and eating at Gasthof zum Stern.

I ate there twice during my visit to Miltenberg.
Once for lunch, sitting out under the trees. Had a great Hugo to start and a flat pizza and salad. Food was good and drink was great. It was so nice to sit under the shade and people watch.
Then I went for a snack and beer in the evening. We sat just at the inside/outside transition and were able to enjoy the evening without being as chilly. Beer was great. Service is good. Very enjoyable restaurant.

someone told me this was the oldest continuous bar and restaurant in Germany. not sure if that was true but it looks like it has been around a long time. food and the beer is great. one word of warning this place is busy.....we went at 9pm for dinner on a wednesday and the place was packed. Take a walk after dinner through the old city.

After a long day in Miltenberg, we were really hungry and decided to stop there for dinner.
They have seats inside, but also a nice area outside to sit down there. Service was swift, friendly and professional. Everything was clean and looked in good shape. The food also arrived swiftly and tasted very good.
I had pasta and really liked my dinner; as did my parents and my best friend.
This restaurant is family owned and they are from Italy, so if you want to enjoy some italian food in Miltenberg, this is the place to go to!
