Went for family Dinner and it was just fantastic.
Best experience is to select the matching wine menu; they do a fantastic job creating a complete experience between food and wine.
Some of wines on the menu did not taste fantastic alone but were fantastic together with the food.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to enjoy each dish separately.

I've stayed here several times with work and never eaten in the restaurant - I normally eat in the bar. The last time I went I enjoyed a casual business dinner with my boss in the Dannebro and was expecting the same food as in the lovely hotel bar.
Christ, how wrong was I?
We went for the six course tasting menu - a showcase of Danish fine dining, of local flavours and sourced ingredients. As with so much about this wonderful country, you think you know something then they surprise you. And keep on surprising you.
I fancy myself as a bit of a food critic. I can confidently predict that were this lovely little restaurant in London, or indeed in Copenhagen the head chef, a charming Danish lady I sadly forget the name of, would not just be adorned with Michelin starrage, but she would be a household name. People would flock from all corners of the globe to eat her food. That she goes about her business with quiet Danish excellence at this lovely little boutique hotel in the shadow of the iconic Snoghoj bridge with such little fanfare that you cant even find her name online, is a travesty. And at the same time charming and comforting.
So the food. It is a procession of deftly-produced and smartly-dressed little plates showcasing simple and not-so-simple flavours in a very complimentary way. It is hyper cool. There are foams and dusts and ingredients like buckfast and freeze dried cucumber (in a dessert no less) all serving to push the focus of each plate forward, begging you to love it.
And you do. From the olive butter with the stunning little mini loaves of bread to the rapturous pork loin, this is easy to love. Everyone should be trying this - it is that good.
So there is no Michelin star. There's no waiting list. There's not even a celebrity on the table next to you.
But the food is genuinely world class. A thing of beauty somehow very much at home as the sun goes down over the river and the startling beauty of the Danish countryside around changes into evening. Service is as good as I've ever experienced - yes really.
You've probably guessed I really enjoyed this meal. I am considering flying friends and family over from Dubai solely to experience it. Awesome. A real pleasure and a privilege.

Very nice suroundings with a perfect view of the waterfront. The restaurant itself is quite small with only a few tables. The dinning card is limited but sufficient for most people. The Wine is far too expensive as are the dishes. The waiter ask, at arrival, if you prefer sparkling or still water and brings water without you have ordered it. Quite expensive to get a full bottle of water for one person without having asked for it. Is this a sales trick? The food itself was nice precented and well prepared but not that special. All in all a medium dinner at a high price.

Exceptionel danish lunch and dinner available daily in the Main Street between 12.00 and 15.00 for lunch and 17.30 to 21.00 for dinner.
Historic building with lots of origianl features preserved. Extremely well kept, and still functional. Toilets could do with an overhaul, but everything was clean. Friendly service and a very intersting "newspaper"-menu with the story of the building and the restaurant. Menu with lots of classics, and their speciality - Eggcake, and it looked great. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and it was lovely.

We came to this place in Denmark, having the nice name Middelfart. there was about 11 of us coming to eat one meal together some of us coming a long way. And to meet all the relatives living in Denmark this place was in the middle for everyone. We all had a great time in this restaurant the buffet was great and also they had sushi and then you could choose some food that one could have cooked by choice. For a big greedy family like ours this place rang all the bells.

We got our dinner in the on site restaurant "Den Hvide Dame" - The 5 course menu was fantastic and well presented and served (Camilla?). Everything on our table were perfect. It is a pitty that the lonely server had so much to do that she could not spare time to clean tables were guests already have finished - This leaves the overall impression with some shortfalls and is not welcomming possible walk-in guests !
This dinner were taken with the restuarants wine selction wine-menu - Which were well composed to the courses provided.

We actually are here twice, once for lunch and pizza and another for a late night dinner. The pizza was really good (one is too much for one), and we expected to have the same we the agreed to serve us at closing time. Most of the group had steaks! They were great. Lasagna was also very good. Best of all was the staff, Gabriel waited on us both time and was very friendly and attentive. He even recommended other places for us to go, and tracked us down when someone in our party left his gloves at his restaurant.

Restaurant with Italian menus and steaks
I had pizza, and my husband had a steak. We also had wine, and a local beer. We loved it. The best food we've had in a long time. Highly recommendable.
